Central Telecom Inc. is not to be trusted. They will distort the truth and make is seem as though they are affiliated with your current telephone company. They will offer you long distance at a low cost (so they say) and they will send your call to a third party verification operator to ensure your complicity in adding a new long distance service to your current phone bill. Say, "NO" to the operator if you have been transferred by the telemarketer. Or just hang up. In fact, hang up once you hear their name. The third party verification will be recorded as proof that you agreed to the service (FCC RULES) . If you have agreed to the service and are reading this message board in a panic, just calm down and dial Central Telecom's toll free number 1-888-988-9818. Cancel the long distance service you agreed to. Get the name of the operator you spoke to, his/her ID number, and a cancellation number. You can also ask to listen to the phone call you had with the third party verification operator. I hope this helps.
We hired the Paint Doctor to paint the whole inside and outside of our home before we moved in. They did a fantastic job. We were extremely pleased with the work that was done. Even my wife was satisfied with the work and she is not an easy lady to please when it comes to contractors. We have had bad experiences in the past and I would have to say the Paint Doctor even beat my expectations. Thank you for the Great work Brian and every one at the Paint Doctor.
I just received a sales call from a man representing Central Telec. His speech began with telling me that because I had a low level of long distance calls my phone bill would receive a discount. He did NOT specify that this discount applied to my long distance carrier. I listened to him go on for a few minutes. He said he was going to connect me to an operator with the company and asked if I had any questions. I asked if this was a discount on my regular home phone bill and he said no. Up to this point he had been very friendly, in a down-to-earth good-ol-boy kind of way. I then advised him I did not make long distance phone calls and had no need of a long distance phone carrier, which I would have said at the beginning had he been honest from the start. He then became very rude and asked why I had wasted his time! And he hung up on me! He had called me! He wasted my time!!! Deceitful, rude, obnoxious business tactics. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!
Dan, I don't think you realize this is an all volunteer staff. The person answering the phone at the register could hardly leave that area to go check on whether or not the item you want is in stock. Besides, even if it was at the moment you called, it may not be by the time you get to the store, since this is NOT Home Depot and all products are donated--we never know exactly WHAT is in stock, since we make no attempt to inventory donated items. And we certainly cannot "hold" an item for you until you get to the store. In order to have better "customer service" we would need a volunteer to just man the phone and run around the store looking to see if we have in stock whatever the customer on the phone is looking for, which is no guarantee it would be there when they got there. We rarely have that many volunteers on hand. Now, if you'd like to volunteer for that position, we would be more than happy for your service. We keep our prices at least 50% lower than your normal home improvement retail store by having unpaid volunteers. If you want the kind of service offered at a retail store, with plenty of paid staff and computerized inventory records, you should shop at Loews or Home Depot. The person who answered the phone and spoke with you was merely trying to be helpful and tell you how this store works--guess you would have been happier had she not even tried and simply said no (which may or may not have been true)
Family run small business without the national franchise model that the big companies have. Attention to detail and they really care about doing it right the first time so that their customers are happy. We couldn't have been more happy with our new Garage Door, Entry Door, Storm Door and Stucco. They even fixed our gutters and downspouts for FREE in the process ! I called to see if the store @ Wahsatch had any flush mount ceiling fans, because I live on the north end of Colorado Springs, @ Black Forest , I was inquiring if they had any in the store. The lady stated she was behind the register and didn't know if she had any or not. I told her i live some distance away, and her comment was " you will just have to come in and see, cause that's the nature of the store. I don't intend to drive that distance with the priceoff fuel today when a simple yes- or- no could have sufficed. I probably won't be back to your store and I intend to tell others I know of the poor service I rec'd. there. It seems to me that with better customer service your business would be MUCH better.
