My Husband has been with Allstate for about 6 months now. This office got his policy and everything set up and had an agreed upon policy/ price. A couple of months after, he noticed that the monthly payment was lower and thought maybe it was his age now that caused it to go down or that it had now been 3 years since an accident he was involved in. Not to mention, nobody asks questions when they are being charged less. We just got married in April so upon adding myself to the policy, the price went down as well. 2 days ago we received a letter in the mail saying we would be having to pay $644 which was due in 2 weeks. That amount is much higher than what our payments would be. Of course we called Zeke and he didn't really have much of an explanation as to why that was and was very vague about it. He said the only thing he could do is offer to split that amount up in 2 months. Zeke stated that we were getting full coverage but that is not what was billed to us so now we are being charged the difference. As unhappy customers, we called corporate to try and get a resolution. The following day, we received a call from corporate stating that the local office (Zeke's office) had not sent in or filed some paperwork in time. So now we are having to pay this amount of money in 2 months for a mistake that was made in the local Allstate office. My Husband and I called Zeke and told him what the corporate office said the issue was and he did not have anything to say. We also had to file a glass claim to have the windshield replaced 2 months ago and there is still a crack going through half of the windshield to this day. While we were on the phone with Zeke, he said he would take it upon himself the correct this issue since we have been waiting for so long. He implied that he would be doing us a favor by doing so when it is entirely his job to correct these issues that we are having with getting the windshield replaced. Allstate is a good insurance company and it is unfortunate that this office has done this to their customers. We will not be dealing with this agent anymore.
While I am very happy with Zeke and the agency, I am frustrated at my auto policy costs. The policy regularly increases and increases at a rate far higher than the cost of living. My 6 monthly rate increase is around 10% each time which appears to be exorbitant. My only option is to compare your rates to what the market offers and see if the rates are fair. You also advertise good driver bonuses which I never see
Pretty smooth. Required far more documents and signing than several other major carriers. Some delays with account updates. Mostly quality customer service- except for first agent we bought policy through. Zeke was professional and upbeat. Overall, I'm pleased with how many coverages All State offers. We have our home owner, car, umbrella, even let policies with you.
Mr. Palmer is always available and attentive to my needs and concerns. I have been with been with Allstate for some years(Texas and now Florida)and I've had my share of issues with the company yet I must say that Mr. Palmer has always assisted me and was my calm in which he always help and had an answer and solution to my problem(s). His team is great and I am happy to have them. Kudos to them!
A few months ago, I was looking for home owners coverage as my prior policy had a significant increase. The office looked and smelled clean. It was a Saturday and was glad to see they were still open. Upon arrival, I was told by the owner, "You're lucky I'm still open." Mind you, it was near their closing time, but why am I the lucky one here? He asked me for basic personal info to get the quote then clicked through a few screens on his computer and gave a price. I asked how he got the price without my coverages. He then asked if I wanted to review the coverages. Seriously?! He had quoted me well below the liability limits I would have agreed to and never got into detail of my needs. I asked about coverage for my dogs -- if they bite someone, just in case -- even though they are on the "ok" dog list; he advised the company he quoted didn't even offer coverage for dogs ... so ... the prior quote was useless. He then shuffled through, what appeared to be, his "I'm a brand new insurance agent" help book and told me he'd have to get back with me for quotes which would meet my needs. Clearly, he was new in the insurance field. As it was apparent that he wanted to leave the office, I provided my email and phone info to get back with me. He never got back with me. Mind you, this was late 2015, but it left such a poor impression that I would not return for help. For others seeking insurance, I would probably avoid this establishment as well since he may not understand your needs nor which coverages would be useful or required.
I had a wonderful experience with Allstate. From the very start. The guys were in touch with me from the first phone call. Answered all my questions and was patient with me through my transfer. Never made me feel rushed or worries about switching over, plus I'm getting more coverage for a cheaper rate.
