I felt very comfortable from the beginning with Patrick and Peter as well. I think almost everyone in the office has helped me with something since I started doing business there. The staff is accessible by phone, email and text and very responsive - something all customers crave.
I am unhappy with the following. ............ a...In Sept 2017 my driver safe driving course will be due as the (4) yr window has expired. b...At that time I will be sent a bill from All State (small bill + handling charges) to supplement my fully pd discounted insurance due 1 Nove 2017. c...I will definitely be taking the drivers course in Sept (date to be determined soon) d...The statement that has be `told` to me is that I should take this course in Aug 2017 to avoid the payment described above (b). To me this is All State playing hard ball. There should be a small grace period, say two weeks, that one has to take the course. Not no grace period. If I were to adhere to All State then one day, as time goes by, I wld be taking the course in Feb for a new qualification. This hard boil attitude will cost your office a good paying constituante if a better arrangement is not made to accommodate me on this simple small matter.
I spoke with Allstate several times about lowering my premium that was increasing each year at an unaffordable amount. Allstate did nothing to keep me as a customer, so I found a lower rate with another carrier. Allstate charged me for cancelling by auto-deducting monies from my bank for a policy I cancelled before the payment was due for the following month. They also refunded escrow money to me for my homeowners without stating what the refund was for. I only found out when I got a letter from my mortgage company asking for the funds to be put back in escrow. Terrible customer service from this Allstate office. They will rip you off any way they can.
Recently my DDC (Defensive Driving Certificate) came up for renewal. I received notice from the company I took the course with, but received NOTHING from Allstate; not an e-mail, letter, or call- nothing telling me when it would expire or where I could renew it. Not only that, but when I called up to check the dates I found 1 of 2 was wrong. It does not mention these dates & information on my documents, so you must call to check them. I expected better service from Allstate especially being a long time customer. On my documents it should list clearly who is covered for DDC & the last completion date. A notice of some kind telling me that it is about to expire & maybe even offer the course through Allstate or minimally where I can go to renew it. I can go anywhere for insurance & maybe even pay less, but I expect better from Allstate and definitely a small amount of service. I hope this will be changed in the future.
