Absolute terrible service. Charged $60 for a blowout and rude service. Michelle is the the rudest, vilest person. No wonder the girls are constantly quitting. Always cutting my hair EXTREMELY short even though I've repeatedly told her not too. Done coming here been here about 3 years and I've finally had enough. DO NOT COME HERE
I love love love love everything about this place. It's such a positive vibe and Michelle is such a sweetheart. She is the owner. She knows so much about hair and has a wonderful personality. Uma did my hair. She is spectacular, so humble and very talented. The prices are really good as well. It's not very often you find a hair place that knows exactly what you want and how you want it. And there was also a sweetheart lady that went outside to put quarters in my meter so I don't get a ticket. My favorite part was, after leaving- she said please come back again. And I def will. A fantastic experience. I am so happy, got so many complements on my hair. And it feels amazing.
I think I might have actually found a stylist I like. Michelle has been there for almost 25 years so she has a ton of regulars. So far every time I've been there every one else in there has been there before. My hair came out exactly how I asked & honestly, I don't ask for much. I hope it stays that way because I'm terrible when it comes to evaluating hair salons. But really she does a great job and is reasonably priced.
Michelle is always there for me....She is kind, caring ...just a real good person & does the best job ever on my hair....I can always depend on her to do a fabulous job & I don’t have to plan my next appt....I call her when I need anything done! I recommend Michele to everyone... a wonderful neighborhood hair salon !
I found this place in a groupon n told her what I was looking for n if she can do something similar. She wanted to do a bunch of things to my hair, also they charge for every little thing, they were rough on my scalp n hair. The cut was ok, shorter than I wanted. The lady (owner) is rude. I was ready for it to be over n just head home
I was recommended Angel's Salon because of an woman I met at my gym . Her hair always looks very nice. I was telling her that my hair always costs me way too much at other salons!!!! And I grew very tired of it!!!. So she recommended Angels. I live very close to this Salon so I got brave and tried it. I am so happy I did!!! I have to give a review, these girls defiantly deserve it, they are very hard working woman that "listen" to what you want!!! I've been here 3 times so far, and have gotten exactly what I asked for. So pleased I found a place that can give me beautiful hi lites and not break the bank!!! Catalina and Michelle were excellent!!! It always helps to have photos of what you like too. I have hi-lites I like, saved on Pinterest. I have had both Catalina and Michelle giving me the Bayolouge hi lights....let me just say, THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!
My first visit at Angels was today for a European facial. The store was clean, welcoming, and had a relaxed atmosphere. Michelle gave me the best facial I've ever had. My prior facials have been high end salons and they don't even come close to this one! Michelle's work and massage is amazing. I can't wait to go back in a few weeks!
Do not get haircut EVER from ANGELS SALON! Our regular salon was closed - came here as a last minute alternate for a 12 yr old that only wanted a trim! Both my daughter and I explained that my daughter only wanted a trim of 1 to 1 1/2 inches because she wanted to keep her hair long. Michele cut …
I called before asking how much they charged for a french twist and they said $15, so i didnt think it was a really bad price for it, and i even asked twice and she said $15. When i went to the place, they then told me that french twist was $45 and the french braid was $15. I was completely mad that she acted like she couldnt understand me on the phone, but i had to get over it because my prom was in two hours. The french twist was not pretty at all! I was completely dissatisfied with it and hated it so much. I got it done by the owner and her worlers kept saying wow, but it was so obvious they were just trying to compliment her and keep their job. Never again, she ruined my night and im still surprised theyre not out of business for this unprofessional place. Legit i couldve done the same thing as home based on how she did my hair
Went in with zero expectations and walked out a happy client. Did belayage hair color. Carolina was exceptional! Very detailed and attentive. I'm shocked to Read some of the other reviews: place was clean, staff was polite, the owner was not warm and fuzzy but she wasn't rude. Overall my …
This place is horrible. I walked into this salon & they don't even acknowledge you. The owner Michelle is rude & nasty. They called me to change my appointment to a different time, I arrived on time & the owner kept on arguing with me Abt how she has no time for me. Her workers were telling her don't argue with the customer. It was my first time there. Also they have written it on the glass that blow outs are $15 but that is not the case. It's false advertisement. Beware. Pls don't go there. I wouldn't give them any stars. The place is dirty & ugly looking as well. I'll never go there again.
Nemerious of Times I've been to Angels Day Spa for a massage. The owner Michelle is a very nice person and Amy the massause gives the best soft massage ever. The only problem with the place where they give the massage is that the room can be warmer especially the bathroom connected to the massage room.
I wish I was smart enough to read previous reviews before I bought the Groupon for a haircut and color. Let me say first off, I am hesitant to write this review because they were lovely people and I hate the thought of hurting their business. However, it's now been a week of wearing a hat, and I don't think others should have to suffer the same outcome. I've already spent $25 on Olaplex treatment to use at home and I've made an appointment to get my hair treated and fixed--something I'm sure will cost an additional $300. I feel like I was passed around like a "hot potato" and the combination of being handled by 3 different people made for a very, very bad outcome. Last Friday, I had received very good news and decided to celebrate, spur-of-the-moment. I called and got an appointment to use the Groupon I'd purchased for a haircut and full highlights. I was happy to get a Friday appointment at the last minute, got there as scheduled at 1:00. You're not gonna believe this but when I finally escaped---with ruined hair--it was 7:30 pm. The saga..... The first woman who did my hair, Carolina was very sweet, nice, friendly. Before we did anything, I showed her a picture that I'd brought with me of the hair color I wanted. Brown hair, with BEIGE-Blond highlights. I stressed repeatedly that I did not want "red", "golden", "honey", "yellow" hair. I explained that my brown hair has some red highlights naturally and I did not want to go towards that tone. I then looked in their books and picked out more pictures from 3-4 different models' hair colors. Showed her THIS is YES.....THIS is NO. Carolina spent ages doing very fine highlights. That was great. I didn't like hearing about the vitamins/minerals they sell, but I didn't complain. Personally I hate when I go to relax at a haircut or facial and I feel trapped at a sales pitch. After sitting for ages, Carolina disappeared into a back room with another customer. I wasn't sure why---massage? facial? Not sure. I got handed off to Amy. By now it was around 4:00 or so and I was aggravated at the fact that I should have been done already. Since my appointment was made at the last minute, I hadn't eaten lunch. By this time, I was starving, I'd finished the water bottle I'd brought with me, my head and neck had been wet for 3 hours and I was freezing. Amy washes my hair and......it's RED. The owner, Michelle comes over, I told her I was extremely dissatisfied with the color, it's exactly what I asked to NOT have. I also had orange eyebrows to go with it. Michelle says she will put a toner over it and starts scrambling for colors. She puts a toner over it and moves along to someone else's hair. At some point, Amy washes my hair and as she's finishing at the sink, the owner calls over to her from her chair 3 feet away, "Don't wash it yet!" Too late for that. She had to do it again. And I sit and wait, wait, wait, Go to the dryer. Wait some more. Wash it out and.....there are NO HIGHLIGHTS at all. She 'd covered it all over. At this point Amy goes home, Carolina is still disappeared in the back, and the owner decides to "fix" the highlights. So she highlights again---big, crude, chunky swaths. After she washed my hair again, and I saw the haphazard orange, yellow stripes, I was literally bawling my eyes out. Crying like a baby. It's 5:30, I've been there for 4 1/2 hours, hungry, thirsty, freezing, frustrated. I started putting my coat on crying that I just wanted to go home. Michelle says to give her "one hour" and she will fix it. I said no, I'm leaving, I can't take it anymore, I couldn't stop crying, I was heaving, sobbing. She gives me a bottle of water, turns up the heat and promises to fix it. I should have left.... Now I'm totally distraught, and in comes a customer with her tray of hot food and her TWO DOGS. These dogs start barking back and forth at the owner's dog. Are you getting a sense of the hell I was feeling yet? I mean, c'mon....adding 3 barking dogs, how ridiculous can this get? Eventually Carolina comes out of the shadow-world in the back---a good 2 or 2 1/2 hours after she'd left me, and she's shocked to see my hair. Starts pitching in trying to help, but you can see that nobody knows what they're doing, or how to fix it. I finally gave up and left there at 7:30 with hair that is 1,000 times worse than when I entered. I haven't been able to fix it because my scalp was so red and raw that I'm truly worried it will fall out if I try again anytime soon. Carolina told me to make sure I use a hair masque (how about HANDING ME ONE?!?!) and tells me to come back next week and they'll fix it. Yeah right! Groupon has refunded the price I paid, but that doesn't put a dent in what it's going to cost me to fix this. You know that feeling when you've spent 12 hours in an emergency room and you're drained and shaking? That's how I felt for the next two days. It's been a week of wearing a hat. Haircut sucked too.
The salon is located right off of Jericho turnpike across from the Dunkin Donut on North 6th Street. I went here because I wanted FULL highlights and there was a deal on Groupon for $79.00. According to the Groupon fine prints the deal included full highlights with a cut and condition. I bought the Groupon, called and made an appointment for the same day. I arrived to the salon and the place seem pleasant. I was indecisive of the color I wanted for the highlights, so I asked for some suggestions. The owner did not really help much and the other girl that was there seem very nice but I think she was being trained. She asked if I had color in my hair before and I responded no, but I did have highlights about 5 years ago and the color did not take on my hair. I could hear the owner making comments about what I said. Anyway, I chose a burgundy color for the highlights. The woman kept asking me if I'm sure that's the only color I liked. I kept telling her yes that I'm positive that's the one I wanted. She proceed to strip my hair of the color I had in my hair. The other girl who was being trained, washed my hair after it was stripped of the color. The owner put in the burgundy color I requested. While she was coloring my hair, a man who sells carpet walked in and demanded he gets his money for the carpet that she took from him. As they got into an argument, the woman started to get really rough with my hair (Now, I'm thinking to myself that coming here was a bad idea). Now halfway through my hair, she ran out of color (I thought she was going to mix more color). She then took the bottom of my hair and rub it against the hair that already had the color. The girl who was being trained washed the excess color off my hair and my entire shirt was wet after she was done. Then the owner remembered that she was supposed to go somewhere. She started to rush. She blow my hair out for an additional $15.00. The blow out looked great except I couldn't see that under my hair was not colored entirely. The woman then charged me a total of $55.00 in addition to the Groupon in the amount of $75.00. I know that the blow out cost $15.00 but what was the extra $40.00 for???? I paid the full amount that was charged. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I do not intend to go back here for any type of service.
I went to Angels Hair Salon on a Sunday grateful for the last min appointment, just a bit nervous going to a place I didn't know. I had an event to attend and was in desperate need of a cut. I met with Michelle (owner of the salon) she was polite & pleasant. We went over the cut I wanted, long layers for volume w/side sweeping bangs. I told her to please be careful as I am extremely picky. I was also considering red highlights something subtle to go w/my dark brown hair. She gladly went over the process and suggested a very subtle red. I decided to try it out. The results were amazing. I love both color and cut. The layers gave me great volume. I especially like my side sweeping bangs its usually hard for me to find someone that gets both the layers and side sweeping bangs correct. Bangs either are too short or not as slanted as I prefer. Michelle did a great job on all accounts. She is skilled and efficient did exactly as I requested which made me feel comfortable thru out the entire process. I had a great experience. Thank You Michelle. See You Soon.
Went for a facial. It was great. Amy was professional and knowledgeable. Met the owner upon arrival. Busy looking at phone. Unwelcoming. Had a Groupon which brought me in for the first (and last time) Upon check out the owner came to the desk, mumbling about how the facial would cost more because she work to clear acne. NO....Groupon was for a DEEP cleansing facial. Dim lights. No heat. Pushy with products and services.
It was our pleasure to be able to work with you on our driveway project. We are very pleased with the look and quality of our drive and cannot imagine it being any other way. The lawn looks as if nothing was disturbed, which is amazing! We will keep your company in mind for future projects. Thanks once again!

I have been going here every so often for a few years, the haircuts are ok. A lot of the times someone else outside the salon has to fix my ends that are uneven or stragglers. Recently I decided to try and color my hair, and it was not what I asked for. I had a picture and tried to be specific with my description, but the result wasn't what I anticipated nor what I wanted. The pros are that I am pleased with the waxing and manicures. The staff is very nice and their prices are low, which is largely why I go.
Very nice job on my hair by the owner, Michelle. Lovely lady. Skilled, efficient, seemingly knowledgable, polite & pleasant; not nosy nor imposing as some hairstylists can be upon meeting them for the first time. Did exactly as requested. It was overall a very positive experience. One star off for slightly sleepy ambience, mildly aging decor - It was clean, but not pristine. Uncertain how sanitized hair brushes, combs & smock capes were. Very reasonably priced. Jan 2014: Couple mths later had a lackluster experience there. Unimpressed. Unprofessional environment. Won't be going back.
I haven`t had my hair cut in a year. I really needed to do something so I called up to Angel Hair Salon & Day Spa and they were able to take me that same day. I brought a picture and when she was finished I was stunned. It was exactly the same. EXACTLY! I have never had a better cut in my life. I went in looking like a drain clog and came out with celebrity hair. Was this review helpful to you?

Love Angels. This place is a diamond in the rough. Appears to be a typical storefront beauty salon, but all the stylists are seasoned professionals. Don't let the casual atmosphere fool you. This isn't the place to go if you're expecting a fresh Perrier & excessive pampering. But if you need a quick, excellent, cheap haircut/styling, and some warm atmosphere, go here. I know they do much more than what I went for - color, waxing, straightening, etc. I would definately recommend them for anything. You will get personal attention.
I don't trust too many people with my hair I have had bad experiences in the past but they are very good here. I normally go to George he is fantastic I would recommend him first but i've also gone o others there and they were also very good. I also feel thy are very fair in price.
I had wonderful hi lite done with a girl with blond hair. I have wonderful contrast now. I referred my best friend to her. She was very thorough in explaining the process. She did a beautiful job. However i was also nagged by a man also, to have my hair straightened. I kindly declined but was not left alone after many attempts to end the conversation. I also observed that he pestered other clients.
My experience was not horrible. The staff was very friendly and my hair came out beautiful. the prices were not that bad, fairly reasonable. i do however agree with you with that man. He did not harass me myself, but he did seem a little pushy with other customers that were there.
The experience was horrible. There was a uncomfortable vibe when i walked in. The receptionist was a child who obviously had no clue what she was doing at all. there was no organization going on at all. I sat in the front for 20 minutes before i was acknowledged again. The place is completely over priced. I was harassed by a man named george constantly followed, by him, and had products thrown in my face. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I must say my haircut by Daniella was excellent and she was very charming.
