DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! It either does not exist or they simply do not care for the business. I ordered a water slide for our 4th of July block party. I had a house full of teenagers that fortunately enjoyed the water balloons and water guns after the water slide never showed up!! I called several times and emailed to confirm with no response. I would have used a diferrent vendor had I known they were not going to provide the service. I wish I had thought about referring to YELP prior to spoiling our party!
Best Business Ever! We Went To The Mall With Our Kids And They Played A Claw Machine. Daniel (The Owner) Walked Up To Fill The Machine, And Had Noticed The Kids Didn't Win Anything. Daniel Then Opened Up The Machine And Had Each Kid Choose Their Own Prize! My Kids Were So Happy! I Would DEFINITELY Recommend Them To All My Friends And Family!
This person, Laura Domingo ( Laura Nicolletti ) was denied rentals at 5 Party Rental stores in Ventura County. She has never written a positive review for any business. She was not even a customer of Tri Valley Rentals (her reputation proceeded her) She was politley told that Tri Valley Rentals would not be able to help her with her event. I was in the store when this took place. She and her friends then posted a number of negitive reviews on other sites. Theres a good chance that she or a friend will respond to this post. She also uses multiple screen names to post.Tri Valley Rentals does hundreds of events every year and has hundreds of happy repeat customers. It's a shame that people are able to post lies like this and get away with it.
If it was possible to give them a "zero" star, I would. We booked them for an event and registered online with a confirmation number. The day of the event, they never showed. Finally got ahold of a lady who was apologetic and I stated, send me anything you have. Even suggested to her to hire a competitor for us... to no avail. What makes me even more frustrated, I called six times since that day and left messages to call me back. Here it is, nearly five days after the event and not even a phone call back from the owner to attempt to rectify the situation. We will never use them again.
I'm filing this review, because Mr. Miller seems to have taken it upon himself to abuse the wrong customer, see below. Either that, or the same thing happened more than once. If that reply refers to us, have no doubt, there are a ton of lies in his story (abusive to driver, etc.) I have all the documents to back my claim. I have also taken screenshots of Mr. Miller's lies and abusive nature towards the wrong customer for future posterity. Before our event (son's birthday party), we contacted Boomer Events about renting the Jurassic Park 3 bounce house. We reserved the bouncer, paid the deposit/fee, and signed their documents. On 11/19/11, we contacted David Miller about possibly canceling the bouncer due to the forecast of rain. He talked us out of canceling, stating that "you know how LA can be" (I'm paraphrasing, but basically he was stating that the weather here is usually not that bad, which can be true). On 11/20/11 it rained HARD all day long, and the temperatures were very cold (40's and 50's). Definitely not great conditions for kindergarteners. Our party was to be held in a park next to my son's school in Culver City. We had arranged a delivery at 1pm. At 11am, we received a call from "Party On Rentals" (which I assume was subcontracted through Boomer Rentals) stating that they were at the park and could drop the bounce house off early if we wanted, because they were "already in the neighborhood" for another delivery. We asked the driver how the conditions at the park were. He told us it was raining pretty hard, and generally cold and miserable. We were not planning on arriving at the park until 1pm, as the party was to start at 2pm. We were not going to make the driver from "Party On Rentals" hang around for 2 hours in the rain, especially since he had other deliveries. We then cancelled, since is was obvious we were not going to be able to hold a children's party in such conditions. The driver then informed us that due to the circumstances, there would be NO CHARGE to anyone for the rental. We have phone records of the time of these calls, which contradicts Mr. Miller's account of the timeframe the events took place. My wife called Mr. Miller at Boomer Events on Monday 11/21/11 to discuss a refund.. Mr. Miller said that "no the driver was wrong, and shouldn't have told you that". He then offered my wife a 30% refund. She informed Mr. Miller that she wanted to talk to her husband (me) about it, since we were led to believe by the driver that no one would be charged. I contacted Boomer events via email that same day (as to have a written record) offering some of the agreed upon fee as a compromise for their time. Based on Mr. Miller's offer to my wife earlier in the day, I assumed they would be open to such an offer in compromise. I received no response from Boomer Events, so a week later, I emailed them again with the same offer (on 11/28/2011). I waited an appropriate amount of time, and decided that Mr. Miller was not operating in GOOD FAITH, so I filed a dispute over the charge with American Express. I received correspondence from Amex later stating that Mr. Miller had not responded to their request for information in an acceptable amount of time, so they were approving the chargeback. They also stated that Mr. Miller and Boomer Events still had time to dispute this. On January 5, 2012. Mr. Miller left a message on our voicemail about the charge back. In this message, he expressed "surprise". I still have this voicemail and from it I quote Mr. Miller, "I had not heard of any complications, or any problems. Could you please contact me and let me know what we did wrong. We'd like to straighten this out and keep you as a happy customer". I was prepared to contact Mr. Miller YET AGAIN, but thought I should contact Amex with my concerns about his message. The representative at Amex informed me I could contact Mr. Miller if I wanted to, but there was no need in relation to the investigation of the chargeback. As I feel Mr. Miller was not operating in good faith by not returning any of my messages from earlier, then "not hearing of any complications" in his voicemail message, I decided against contacting Mr. Miller directly. In that Mr. Miller left a message on 1/5/2012 feigning surprise that there was any problem with our event, yet the exact same day, he faxes Amex a statement contradicting his voicemail. I do not believe that he incurred out of pocket expenses from the rental, yet he felt he needed to keep our deposit. In his correspondence with Amex, Mr Miller gleefully insulted me several times. What kind of customer service is that, regardless of a dispute? I still have his response, and it irritates me every time I read it. BTW, many other rental places will cancel an order with no penalty when severe weather hits. Yes, I signed his idiotic contract, shame on me. He's baffled in his story because it's hard to remember the lies one tells.
We placed an order for a bounce house three weeks before our son's birthday party. My son wanted a specific bounce house and Boomers had the one that he wanted. I waited for a confirmation email and never received one. I called them three times and left messages. Emailed them via Yelp and sent an email to their business email. The only thing I wanted was a confirmation, a human response, and we didn't get it. I took some time out of my day to go directly to 6 McLaren in Irvine. The company wasn't there and the leasing company informed me that Boomers events hasn't been at 6 McLaren for over a year. I looked up their business status and they dissolved in 2002. This company had my credit card information and I was concerned. I found a reputable company that had the bounce house my son wanted and an actual human talked to me on the phone. I attempted to call Boomers one last time and after the sixth ring I actually was greeted by a breathing human being. We canceled our original reservation and will never use a service without checking Yelp. The Yelps on this page are spot on. This company is lacking a human touch and it caused unnecessary stress. Don't use this company.
I had the WORST experience with this company! Unfortunately there is no option to add ZERO stars review. The worst customer service EVER. They do not seem organized. Don't even take your chances!! I made a reservation online for a bouncer for my daughter's birthday party with plenty of time before the party date. I received a confirmation number almost immediately; HOWEVER, after about 3 days I did not receive any follow up from the company. So I called them to confirm the order. A lady indicated that she had not had a chance to review all the online orders yet but would send me an email before the end of the day. No email arrived. I called again a couple of days later and told the lady that someone was supposed to email me days before, but I did not receive an email. She checked in her system ( I suppose) while I was still on the phone. She confirmed the reservation and read back the details of the bouncer, location, date and time. Everything is fine up to that point. A day before my party, no one from the company had contacted me. I called several times, but no one answered. Finally, I left a phone message that no one ever returned. The DAY OF THE PARTY, I called several times and FINALLY someone answered the phone. I explained that I was calling to confirm the delivery because no one had contacted me. After looking at records, she said that she did not have a bouncer delivery scheduled for me. I told her that I made an online reservation and I had previously called to confirm. She finally found my reservation and then indicated that it had been canceled!! I asked by Whom, I didn't cancel it.? She said the note in her system only said that they would not be delivering to my area. So I told her....First of all, I did not cancel my order at any time. Secondly, even if they had canceled it on their end...why wasn't I notified? She said her notes indicated they sent me an email. I told her that was incorrect. I never received any email letting me know that the order had been canceled, and I had even checked my SPAM folder just in case. So I knew NO email had been sent to me. She explains that there was nothing she could do because all the delivery drivers had left already! Um, you guys messed up my order...so how are you going to fix this? She took my number, calls me back and says there is nothing she can do. WHAT?! What kind of customer service is this?! Unbelievable! Great...so hours before the party and no bouncer!!!! I call HAPPY TIME JUMPERS at 951-283-1791 (Corona). They totally took care of me even at such late notice!! They gave me a great deal and got the bouncer set up before the party began. Great customer service!!. I hardly write YELP reviews, but this was such a horrible experience that I just had too. The only good thing I have to say about this company was that they didn't charge my card (yet) and the girl who I spoke to on the day of the party was nice despite my expressed frustration. (I think she knew they had messed up royally.) I just don't think they have their act together if they can't keep track of their reservations. And in reading the past YELP reviews, it seems like they have had bad customer service for a while. I wish I would have read them before I made a reservation, it would've saved me a lot of grief...and even time in writing this review!! Oh yea, the company finally sent me an email informing me that my order had been canceled AFTER I got off the phone with the representative on the phone. SMH
We rented the Toy Story bounce house for my son's birthday party and everything was perfect. I did play phone tag with the company a few times but ultimately was able to speak to someone. The bounce house arrived about 30 minutes before the party and was picked up within the 2 hour window of time they provided to me. I was happy with the rental and their service. I will probably use them again when I want to rent a bounce house.
DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!! They have the absolute worst service! They do not return phone calls, e-mails, and they rarely pick-up their phone during operating hours. I booked them over a month ago for a large jumper at a park. I called them continuously attempting to confirm our date and time and finally, they picked up the phone. We had a contract from the month prior stating a pick-up at 8pm, when I asked for the confirmation he said rudely that they have a policy that park rentals have to be picked up by 6pm. Several issues here: 1) why did they NOT communicate this to me 2) why did they agree to a contract of this time and location over a month ago 3) this policy is not on their website 4) what would have happened if I never called to confirm, would they just have arrived early???? When I had expressed this to the David Miller- he was so inconsiderate and unapologetic. He said he would give me a refund if I got back to him in an hour!?!?! He had over a month to examine this contract and now he gives me an hour!?! I had to call the park, only to find out that I would be charged another $75 because I was going to make a change to the permit- his error costed me $$$. Plus, when I called him back within the hour, to no surprise, there was no pick-up. I continued to call and e-mail for a week, only to receive NO RESPONSE. Finally my husband got a hold of him and he said he would mail us our refund- it has been over 3 weeks and NO REFUND! I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau.
Just called them today about renting a ping pong table for a corporate event. They lady I spoke with (Jen i think?) was super helpful and friendly. While it's not going to work out for me to get the table from them in this case (since I just need one it makes more sense to buy it) I will definitely contact them in the future for either larger scale events or events closer to the Irvine area.
Boomer Events deserves five stars! It was easy to order the basketball jumper on-line, the customer service was excellent, the jumper looked brand new (extremely clean and shiny), was delivered well in advance of the event and was torn down well after the event. The follow up emails to my order, the confirmation phone call 24 hours before they delivered and the follow up email to the event were really efficient and friendly! Boomer Events will be getting a phone call again from us the next time we need an inflatable but in the meantime "thank you for making my 6 year old's birthday party a big hit"! PS Huge, huge choice of jumpers!
NO SHOW. HORRIBLE disastrous organization!!! We made a reservation for one of those harness trampolines online a good 3 weeks in advance of my son's 5 yr birthday party. It was online and we received an invoice number with the order confirmation. We opted to pay through PayPal which at the time we thought was safer since PayPal also contacts the vendor to let them know that $$ has been placed in their account and they will contact the merchant if you put in a complaint - I believe there are penalties if you get too many complaints from customers. Anyway, we were wrong. We attempted to call them the day before the event and the day of but both calls went straight to voicemail. We left messages but no returned the call and the main feature of the party never showed up! If any of you have little kids, you can imagine what a disaster this is for a kids party! Granted the party was on a Sunday and we called on a Saturday before, to confirm but I don't see how you can run a party business without having at least someone on call to retrieve messages on the weekends when that's probably when most of your stuff goes out!
I searched around online for the best possible price and availablilty. I called Boomers Events and they helped me to find just the right bouncer/water slide for our street 4th of July party. The process was quick and easy! The slide was delivered ontime and the gentleman who set it up even sanitized the entire slide. There must have been about 40 children (and a few adults) up and down the water slide all day long!!! It was a scorching hot day so the water slide was a big hit with everyone and it made our event enjoyable and memorable for us all. Thank you!
Just tried booking a mechanical bull and the receptionist gave me attitude and didn't seem interested in helping me. I was on hold forever since she was checking for availability but really she hung up on me. I called back and asked for a manager, her only option was for me to leave them a message. Message I know they will never receive. I am renting from someone else but she needs to learn how to give better customer service and attitude change.
