“Warhol's works to celebrate 49th anniversary of first solo exhibition. Ah, the big 49. Celebrate the occasion by viewing works by the world's very first hipster, brought to prominence right here in LA. Also a must-go for Campbell soup fanatics. ”

Tours inside the exquisite Hollyhock house run every weekend this summer. Bring your student ID for a $5.00. That's a heaping dose of LA culture for $2.00!”

“Cirque de Soleil! Iris. Observe in mystified wonder at acrobatics, death defying stunts, and poorly translated French-Canadian comedy in Hollywood's most storied theatre. It's playing until New Years 2012!”

I have to coax out my sentimental side by ordering Luna Park's bottomless mimosas or sangria for $13.50 on Saturday or Sunday. Another option is the 2 for 1 bloody marys. “Friday is Jazz night all summer long. Bob to the beats of a rolling tenor sax or sophisticated chords of a piano virtuoso, all while ensconced in the hip contemporary art ambiance of the LACMA. This scores as one of my ultimate dates to impress. ”
