Fast service; decent food

I just moved to the area and i think the food here is great.

Tonight my boyfriend ordered my food and I was on the phone with him when he ordered keep in mind! I heard him say white rice 3 times!! So I get my food and it's fried rice and I find hair in my gravey!! I know stuff happens so I just called them to help them and let them know what happened and Instead of the man helping me... He decided to fuss me out for there mistakes..... How in the world is that possible???!!! So unprofessional and I go to this restaurant all the time!! Not anymore... Guess I'll just have to drive that extra mile now to go to the next available one!!

We had delivery. Food was prompt and delicious! We will definitely order from there again!

I've eaten here a few times my delivery is always less than 30 min... 15 mins the most ..it's decent..from what im n use to on the west coast

I'm from Jersey, real picky about my chinese food if you been to New Jersey you can understand! . . .i love their food , try asking for your General Tso's chicken fried hard , good as f#@k !

Quick delivery food is good and so is the price

First and Foremost this is a carry out and delivery Chinese restaurant. Delivery service is fast. Easy to order. Food is grate for a fast food Chinese restaurant.

Under new ownership, and must say food was good. Plan on going back for sure.

The sauce for the boneless spareribs was very good. Different from your typical sauce in this area. The rice was OK and the egg rolls were very tasty. This will be a stand-by restaurant for my family.

Being from New York, it's hard to find a decent Chinese restaurant. I was skeptical about ordering from here. I received A LOT of menus on my door from them. I decided to give it a try today. Everything that I ordered tastes AMAZING and the food delivery arrived 20 minutes early. The driver was very polite. I would DEFINITELY order from here again!

I love this place. No bad experience with food. People are friendly and caring. This is a Chinese food place, so thats what you get. If anyone wants other dishes otherwise than the Chinese food, go somewhere else.

Crappy service but without the language barrier. The food is overpriced for the quality. Their effort to increase the quantity of food to keep the customers they inherited has failed. The previous owners made an effort to get your order correct. They were polite but hindered by their lack of language comprehension. The current owners are rude and do not know what customer service is. Unless eveywhere else that delivers is closed and the vending machine is empty. I will not purchase lunch here again

The worst yak ive ever had all you tasted. Was ketchup and no flaver and one boiled egg yuk 😫😫😫😫😫

Food was good and delivery time was good. If you're close I would say give it a try. The delivery driver was very happy to be of service.

While the food was great. They have horrible attitudes!! Will NOT order here again! Nor will I recommend!

Some of the most nastiest people I have came across. First time the older male got nasty with me. Second time the young male. Third time a female yelled at me over the phone. I believe in giving people a chance that's why I still tried to do business with them but NEVER AGAIN! They have terrible attitudes they treated me like they don't need any customers. People like that you show them by hitting them in the pockets!! I know of several people who have taken my advice because they were too spoken to rudely. We don't have to put up with that, it's one on every corner! I spend my money at Garden China. The food not always great but they are pleasant and humble! FYI Matthew Bond "READ" several other viewers wrote about having had the same problem. I gave them three different chances because that's the kind of person I am. I don't know of many people who will do that I bet you wouldn't!

Took them 1.5 hours to deliver..called after an Hour he said "be right there" when we finally got the "food" it was disgustingly inedible and truly something nightmares are made of! ....this place needs to be put out of business. I image they have an illegal gambling ring in the back, and the Chinese food place is just a front. They are skinning cats and pouring canned soup from 1980 into Tupperware and calling it food. Then when one of the bookies gets a free moment he runs to you're house to drop that trash off. SHAME ON YOU CHINATOWN! The only thing you can expect to get from this place is a disease, and bowl full of sadness.

One star for the delivery lady because she was so sweet. I called at 6:23pm for the shrimp lo mein and fried rice with onion for delivery. When I called the guy was super rude, kept cutting me off and clearly did not want to talk on the phone. Almost an hour later still no food! My boyfriend ordered pizza and it got to the house faster. When I called back to check on the food, same guy, I asked where it was and he raised his voice and said probably on the way! I was taken back and didn't say anything for a couple seconds because I was about to say something, instead I said ok then he hung up on me. The food was nasty, had no taste and was cold! I will never order from this place again. Terrible terrible customer service and food is just bad. Yuck!

I go there every so often and I love their service. Best Chinese food I've had in a while.

I found a flyer for this place in my mail box so I thought I would try it out, bad decision . The woman on the phone kept rushing me. She said it would take 35-45 min, which is fine, however it took an hour and fifteen min. Then when the guy got here there were only two items that I had ordered in the bag. The food isn't too bad but definitely not worth it. Last time I'm ordering from here.

Its fair. And to add to a previous reveiw ive see. The people are decent and if more than one peraon gives you a difficult time let alone 3 you might want to reflect on some self awareness. Food is decent price is normal for chinease take out. Plain and simple its fair.

So I called at 7:00pm and placed my order, he told me the total and hung up. 730 I call to make sure the driver isn't lost and he says the driver is on the way and hangs up. I call at 745 and ask what's going on since I only live 5 mins away and he says I told you it would be 35 mins, which he never did and since I called at 7pm anyway you are still late. I live 5 mins away so why would I wait 45 mins when I could have called it in and picked it up. Then he argues with me and tell me to just wait and hangs up again. So I put my daughters jacket and shoes on and the driver calls and says she's outside which the time is now 7:55pm. So I'm like whatever I will just eat it. She acts like she doesn't want to get out the car and I wait at the door like you must be kidding. She finally brings it up and I sign for it. Open it up and the food was so dry and no taste at all. I wish I would have read the reviews for this place before I ordered because I would have dodged this bullet. I would have rather drove to JANAF and gone to golden wok by the dentist place.... I will never eat here again and you shouldn't either... Trust.

This place stinks! Flys all over.. Old food on the tables and ground, clutter everywhere. Smells like a garbage heap. The food was over cooked and the rice tasted like bleach. The worst part... The stomach cramps I had the next day!!! Take my advice.. Stay away! Unless you like food poisoning.

Ordered food from Chesapeake Blvd location on 9-3-15 food was terrible.Will never order or recommend this place to anyone

Dear man taking orders over the phone. You are an a$$hole. You told me it would take 45 min for my order so when I've been waiting for now 1 hour and ten min when I called now an hour 20, you yell at me that he is on his way and yell at me that you are very busy and when I try to get an eta you hang up on me....

AVOID!! I ordered their family special (4 items for $20) tonight and I wish I had looked at their reviews first. It took an hour and a half for delivery. We were told an hour. Which may have been okay but... The only positive I have is that when we got our food the delivery gal was very friendly. The man in the phone when I placed my order, however was very short and rather impolite. We ordered 3 different chicken entrees and shrimp fried rice. All of the meat orders looked and tasted exactly the same (dark, gooey sauce-covered chicken) except that one had a few sesame seeds sprinkled on the top. There was a thin layer of chicken on top of a bowl filled with rice for each of these. The shrimp fried rice had about 6 pieces of shrimp laid on top. And was basically another bowl full of exactly the same rice as the chicken dishes. It all tasted the same (general Taos, orange, and sesame chicken). We were very disappointed with our food and will NOT be ordering from them again

They gave my daughter black frys from the bottom if the fry basket. Food was old and nasty. Not enough food when you ask for a large more like a medium. I'd never eat here again.

Want slightly warm, congealed and tasteless Chinese food that takes 2 hours to deliver look no further!! This was awful even for generic Chinese food. AVOID!!!!! AVOID!!!!! AVOID!!!!

We still have not received a refund. We now have no choice but to go into the buisness to try to get our money back. I'm pretty certain most people will just let this go however when a business is run this poorly you should not. They cannot fix what they do not know about and if you encounter that they truly do know and it's not just an employee or manager issue then they need to close the doors.

Two stars for delivery girl she was super sweet. But this food is awful!!! General Tso chicken is gooey and thick, my boyfriend ordered the beef Szechuan and it tasted fishy. And pork steamed dumplings are filled with some kind of filling that tasted/looked nothing like pork. Egg roll was good but that is hard to mess up.

As I sit here writing this, I have been waiting for an hour and 45 minutes for my food. I have called 3 times, each time they said they were close. Yet here I sit, and my son is very hungry (thus I've now made him a sandwich, and I'm begining to wonder if I have time to make him rice here before our order gets delivered)... Here we sit, 2 hours into our wait... wondering why I thought this was a good idea. I'm not a very happy pregnant lady right now... 2.5 hours later, food had arrived. And while the food was delicious, it was not worth the headache and time wasted.

The fact that I was told "call back in 30 minutes" to make a take out order, makes me extremely annoyed.

Asked for extra chicken ...got no chicken in my dish and was charged...horrible service

We were staying at a local hotel near by and was given this restaurants menu by front desk. Ordered delivery for dinner. Delivery man arrived 50 minutes later with our food, he was polite. The food on the other hand was not polite to us. It was the worst Chinese food I have had EVER!! The sweet sour chicken saute was disgusting. BIGG chunks of onions and green peppers in my order.

I have ordered from this restaurant since they opened. I have never been disappointed!!!

I have tried Chinatown in Berkley numerous times and have always received quality food. I think Rachael must have had a bad experience with some bad employees. They must have changed new management or cooks and driver or something because everytime I go there the couple that run the store now are so kind to me and always talk nice to me. The service is always great, I love the food so much the cooks are Def authentic Chinese men. Apparently they told me they come straight from China to New York, and are hired from New York to VA. My friends and I all love going there for the great deal on the lunch special. I have never had to wait two hours for a delivery but as good as the food is and as good of a deal that it is, it would be totally worth it

Don't waste your time or money, especially if you want it delivered! I ordered from them twice, and the first time, it took them 2 hours to get here, and the second time, it took 1 hour 45 minutes, and the girl said she was pulled over for speeding. On top of the crappy service, the food is awful. As a New Yorker, I can assure you that their claim to be "New York Style Chinese" is bogus, and I take offense to that! Chinatown is BY FAR the worst Chinese food restaurant in Hampton Roads!!!
