When I walk in the building and see Angie seated out front in the office on West Washington, I am confident about the level of service that will be given to me. Four days before picking up my new car and 14 days before my auto policy renewal, Angie and I met for over an hour to get me understanding the differences between my old-style auto policy and a newer-style one that Allstate now offers. She invited me back 2 days later to show me how these 2 different policies would each price-out for my 4 cars. Beyond price, we looked at the rewards I would lose if the old-style policy was exited and weighed these against new discounts that the new-style policy offered, if I was comfortable with electronic transactions. Further, Angie knew that my having 4 cars is a temporary circumstance and we investigated the 2 types of policies if I sold 1 or 2 of the cars. Finally, she reminded me of my umbrella policy and that I should expect it to be reasonable that its premium would increase with the added exposure of a new car. This tact left me not facing a bad surprise at some later date. Angie gave me all this information and I made the decision for how to proceed. Impressive!!!
The folks at the Christopher Winters Allstate Insurance agency have all been extremely helpful in every interaction, following up on obscure questions on property insurance as well as helping me get my auto insurance status straightened out. Their attention to detail and professional courtesy is top-notch in my book.
Your agent at Corporate Makala Parker told me that I would not be hit twice for premiums in December when I first got my quote. I was charged twice. I complained to my local agency Christopher Winters agency and they turned it in to Corporate. I was told by Corporate essentially that I wasn't telling the truth. Two payments were taken out in December. One at Christmas. Because of this, I'm going to eventually find another insurer.
after spending a long time with one of your employees setting up how to get into my account to view it, I am blocked from being able to see it. I am very very unhappy with this situation. I have tried changing my password to no avail. This paperless thing is sad because it stops customer from seeing their policy and anything related to it. Every time I have tried to view anything related to me from Allstate I am unable to do so even though name and password are supposed to be my alone.
Allstate, the good hands that really want to wash themselves of you. Seriously, almost every single communication involves them cancelling or threatening to cancel or looking for a reason to cancel your insurance. If not cancellation, there is some problem that is utterly earthshaking with dire consequences resulting from an "oops". It doesn't seem to matter how nice or courteous the local agent or their worker is, Corporate does not like you and wants you gone. At least the "cut rate" companies that Allstate always comparing themselves to in their ads seem to appreciate the business. I have never had a claim with Allstate, never even asked them about a possible claim, but I feel absolutely unwanted, not safe and secure. To be clear, that feeling comes entirely from corporate, not from the local agent who frankly seemed as baffled as I have been as to some of corporate's communications with me.
Would be nice to talk to my "new agent". My previous agent Patty Yaris was without a doubt the best agent anybody could have. When I called Allstate, I always talked to Patty, she knew me, my daughters and our situations. Toward the end, prior to her retirement, I was able to talk to her assistants Angie & Sonya which are helpful. Know, it's my understanding, per paperwork I receive that I have a new agent by the name of Christopher Winters. I can't recall ever talking to Mr. Winters on the phone or having any interaction with him. When I call Allstate now I talk to either Angie or Sonya. Both or which are very help full and answer all my questions. I received an email from Chris Winters thanking me for being an Allstate customer it appeared to be a basic responds to a payment received. When I replied back to Chris about some questions I had, I never received any reply. I have been with Allstate over 30 plus years and almost all of them was with Patty Yaris. She and I developed somewhat of a friendship, I knew that If I have any questions or problems with my insurance Patty was there. I don't have that king of relationship with Christopher Winters.
