Dave's Plumbing and Drain Cleaning

DO NOT HIRE DAVE!!! His full name is Dave Grobler, and he is a con artist. He came to my house to fix a leaky toilet and a couple of odds and ends. He claimed to have fixed the toilet and asked if he could come back in a couple of days to finish up the odds and ends. I said sure and paid him in full. The problem is, HE DIDN'T COME BACK AND THE TOILET STILL LEAKS. I have begged him for months to either fix the toilet or give me my money back. He agreed to do so, but he won't show up. This has gone on for so many months that I informed him that I was taking him to small claims court. He said "go for it". Once I got to general sessions court, I know why he was so confident. He has been sued multiple times for everything from faulty work to real estate fraud. Dave split a home with a woman and collected her half of the mortgage every month under the agreement that he would pay the bank. Instead, he kept her money and didn't pay the mortgage. She went bankrupt, sued him, and won. Unfortunately, he never paid and the woman is in huge financial trouble. I have all the paperwork from his multiple law suits and it's pretty shocking. He is a true scam artist that knows how to work the system. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They have contacted him multiple times but he refuses to speak with them. Hire anyone other than Dave's Plumbing.

Dave does rip people off. He charged my dad to unclog a bathtub drain. Come to find out the reason it wasn't draining was because it really needed a new trip lever. After calling him back to have him come back, he never showed up. He finally shows up 2 weeks later and was over an hour late. He tells my dad to buy one from Home Depot for $8 and gave him instructions on how to fix it.. UNBELIEVABLE!! I thought the reason why you called a plumber is to get repairs done, especially after you have already paid him. After calling him myself, he agreed to come out a few days later at 10:00 at no charge if we paid him for the part. He never showed! We waited for 2 hours and then called him. He gave us the excuse that it was raining and he would be out later. I forgot plumbers don't work when it's raining, REALLY? 3:00 rolled around and we called again. This time he hung up on my husband. He will tell you that his work is guaranteed. In reality once he is paid, he does not care! We are reporting him to the BBB to warn others of his shady business practice. I would not give him my business.. BEWARE!!
