I didn't want to wait over a month to get new bottoms put on my Birkenstock sandals at another shoe repair shop, so I took a chance and used this company. BEST MOVE that could have made! The folks @ E&J were very nice, and did an AMAZING, quick job repairing my sandals. I will definitely be going to them again.
As a manager of a retail shop in Naples, it's important to me to support local business. I went to E&J after one of their customers referred me as I was looking to get my shoes cleaned up. I picked my shoes up a day later and could not be happier with not only the service I received, but at the service itself. I was so impressed I took my husband's neon green Nike's in for a clean up and they did amazing once again. I would absolutely recommend this service to anyone!
Quality of work is good but very unprofessional. Do not patronize this business if it's important to you that the store actually be open during the posted hours of business or you expect to be treated as a valued customer. I live 30 minutes away. I called the store at 2 PM on the day my shoes were to be ready for pickup. I was told they were and that the store closed at 5 PM. I left work early to make it there by 5 and actually called again at 4:40 to say I was on my way. The very rude woman who works in the front of the store told me to come some other time. When I tried to tell her I lived a half hour away and was almost there, she hung up on me and took the phone off the hook so that I could not call back. I arrived before 5 PM and the store was closed. The people in the store next door told me this was an ongoing issue for customers. They did not even open on the next business day. I tried to call the owner and got a mailbox full message. I tried to call the store again and got a message to enter a code. I was told the owner is no longer actively involved in the business and is just trying to keep it going. Also there is a sign posted in the store asking that checks be made out to an individual, not to the business, which is a corporation. I would not do business with them again.
Terrific Service and Fast. I had a couple of shoes that needed a new heel, and since it was a small job, they did it while I waited. Took about 5 minutes and I was on my way. I know it's not always going to be this fast but the service I experienced was top notch. I'll be back.
The shop doesn't look like much from the outside, but I thought I'd give it a try since all of the local shoe repair shops have mixed reviews on Google. I brought three pairs of shoes in for service: two to be resoled and one that had a broken elastic on the buckle. They gave me a three day time frame which I thought was good. E & J called me the day to tell me my shoes were ready! I drove in to pick them up, and the woman at the counter didn't seem to know what was going on. There was a customer in front of me, and they couldn't tell her how many pairs of shoes she had in for service. (Granted you would think the customer might remember but still E & J seemed to have no record.) When my turn came, I gave them my ticket (which I'm glad I kept... there was a sign that said No Ticket No Shoes.) And she could not find any of them! The woman spent five minutes looking in plastic grocery bags for my shoes before sending me home empty handed. I received a call an hour later that they had located my shoes. And they charged me full price. But my shoes do look nice and the works is quality as far as I can tell. All in all, they did a nice job, but I'll try another shop next time. I'd pay more if the service was better quality.
I had excellent service, my shoes were taken and cataloged with a claim ticket given to me. I picked up the shoes which had been brought in for a resole. The job was of excellent quality and craftsmanship and the shoes were even cleaned and polished for me at time of pick up. I will continue to do business with this company and recommend to friends, family and colleges...
We're lucky to have a shoe maker here in Naples. My brand new pair of mules were lopsided after I left one of the heel tips in a cobblestone somewhere along the road of my recent travels. But for seven bucks, I could walk evenly again on two new heel tips that were better than the manufacturer's. I knew it was a good place when I passed a smiling, FL cowboy coming out of the shop with his shined Tony Lama's clutched to his vest.
