This is a really professional and friendly place to learn. It is a small class environment so it is easy to get extra attention if needed. But everyone I have met is big on making you feel valuable and capable; all staff makes the extra effort to answer all your questions. I am currently learning medical coding and billing 9-5 under instructor Maria Rios. The instructor has years of experience and uses that training and helpful anecdotes that make the school an exciting place to look forward to. The course includes externship and job search assistance. I recommend this school to everyone because they have a variety of courses available.
I came to this school July 17, 2017 . I have to admit this school is no walk in the park!! If you're not serious in becoming a CCS or CCA (Certified Coding Specialist\Certified Coding Associate) do not bother!! The Staff here are like REAL family!! Their Sole purpose is to give the best education EVER!! But are your Counselor, Older Brother Sister. The Staff really care about what happens to the students!! They have a Psychologist day on site!!! If I ever had any problems I went to the Psychologist the Instructors are very, very knowledgeable!!! They're there to make sure EVERY student passes even if they have to stay with them after hours!!
I will not say a lot, i am just going to be straight to the point. Nobody is expecting anybody to be perfect. But EagleRock College has done a lot of good things to most of the students otherwise it will not be approved by AHIMA, Bureau of Post secondary school or any other accrediting organization. Let us face it, students here learned a lot more than any other schools. Instructors give their heart and brain to make the students succeed, both in their certification exams and in the whole progra.. those who did not succeed is from their own doing.
My experience has been FANTASTIC! It is under New Ownership, They are genuine, really care about the students, there is NO MISREPRESENTATION, every student is treated as if they are the most important person there. The instructors are very knowledgeable and will take the time to explain it to you if you are having trouble understanding. They really help you launch your career and support you every step of the way to success! I am grateful that I found such a top notch institution to be associated with.
If you are looking to get in to medical coding this is the school for you...aside from being ahima certified the staff the instructors are topnotch with experience in the field from financial aid registrar (rosette) (xiomara)to reception (lucy) to the instructors ms nonette ms maria ms christine mr tony to career services (teri) i wouldn't have graduated if it wasn't for their help and support and they also prepare u for ccs exam!
I'm surprised on how expensive the cost for a Medical Billing Program is from this school. I inquired and to my surprised learned that it cost $17,500 for only a certificate program. Wow. I believe that at other schools, specially at community colleges you can go for medical Billing for a fraction of the cost.
I began attending the Medical Billing/Coding program at Eagle Rock College, in August of 2016. When searching for a program, I selected this one because it was the only full-time AHIMA accredited program around. I live in north orange county and there were other programs closer to me, but they were not full-time and not AHIMA accredited. It was important to me to attend a program that was accredited by AHIMA, so every morning I made the 1.5 hour drive to class. I had the mindset of this was only temporary, and that if I stayed focused at the task at hand, I could do it.
Eagle Rock College has change many student's lives. They were given a chance of becoming better members of the society , of understanding the true meaning of dedication, compromise and/or responsibility, and most of all, believing that education plays an important role in their success. I urge everyone not to waste time. It is not late to achieve your goals. Enroll now in any good schools you can think of.
I attended this school, I was very excited to learn everything I could about Graphic Arts/Web Design, unfortunately it was more of an expensive joke. The curriculum was more of a free for all, and did not reflect your usual classroom environment. The teacher was often late and never gave homework or exams. Sure my sure desire to learn gave me an opportunity to review newer methods from youtube and
I did a lot of research before I selected Career College Consultants as my #1 choice, and I have received more than I ever expected. Like anything, you will get out of it what you put into it. If you show up and give 150% everyday, if you study at home everyday, if you are willing to sacrifice in the short term for the possibility of a fullfilling and lucrative career in a booming industry, then this is the place for you.
First let me start off by telling you about myself, I have been a student here starting in January 2015 focusing on Medical Billing and Coding. I currently work for a large medical group in SoCal as a Sr Business Analyst, and presently hope to gain a new direction into Medical Coding. As of October 2015, I am now AHIMA CCS certified, and still continue to come to school to further solidify my knowledge in ICD-10.
I was able to reinvent myself with a new career from here. I took Medical Billing and Coding a year ago. After I passed my CCS, I landed a job as a Biller and Coder right away! Those extensive cases from Ms. Nonette and Ms. Maria's superb skills of Human Anatomy and Physiology molded me of what i become! It depends how you really want it! But this is your way to a new career and bright future! Two thumbs up!
I am currently taking the coding class with Maria Rios. She is an excellent teacher. She is very knowledgeable and very helpful. She would really take her time so that you would clearly understand everything. I work full-time and even if I'm tired from work, I still tend to come in class because Maria makes the class interesting and fun. Not only Maria, I also feel like the staff here are welcoming, especially the administrator. He always has a smile when I come in and he makes me feel welcome. I feel as if this school is a second home. Everyone is there for each other and nobody is competing with anyone...unlike other schools where you feel you are alone. Thanks, CCC!!!!
the worst school ever...they are unorganized.. no help with job placement and them course is realy for medical billing not coding. and to go in for your ahima certification and getting hired well good luck hospital wont hire you unless you have a couple of years of work experience.
