No problems, just wish insurance companies would not discriminate against flood insurance based on zip code. I live on Long Island and I live in East Yaphank, just South of the LIE. Unfortunately, East Yaphank and Shirley share the same zip code. Even if I didn't, if the water comes up to where I live, almost the entire island would be under water. Not fair that I have to lose the multi-policy discount.
Well considering I have been over billed for the last 10 years on my homeowners insurance, I would say my experience has been less than stellar. My original inspection done by Allstate stated more square footage than my house actually is. Once I brought it to Allstate’s attention, my rate was lowered by $1000. I would like to be compensated for the miscalculation on Allstate’s part all of these years. I put my trust in the company that they would’ve given me an accurate inspection. No one would ever think that an inspection done by their insurance company was not accurate. I have been trying to get answers from Jay Dubin’s office for months now and I have received no answers.
