Went to Los Amigos for the first time with a work colleague. I had no expectations whatsoever. I did like that they had a parking lot, although it was somewhat small and filled up during lunch time. I was concerned that meant the restaurant would be crazy busy, but that wasn't the case at all. We were seated promptly and our server was very attentive. I found the lunch special prices to be very reasonable and our food was good. It's not the best Mexican food you'll ever have in your life, but it's filling and tasty and served quickly enough to allow you to get back to work on time. I would definitely return.
Food came quickly and wasn't bad. Our server seemed new so it's hard to judge the service too critically. Atmosphere left something to be desired. Felt more like a bar and less like a restaurant, considering the size disparity between them. Not bad but not great, may be a better happy hour experience than general dining.
Best margarita in town, taste great and you're like is there even booz in it than half way thru your drink...boom it hits you haha. Last time was a little too strong and not as tasty as usual ( on the rocks) food is good too and love the salsa and bean dip. Want to grab a good drink.and just relax...this is the spot
Our go-to spot for fajitas. We tend to go at off hours so we've rarely seen a crowd. Friendly servers who seem to recognize us, which adds a nice touch. Love the chips and bean dip they place at the table. The salsa isn't my fave but I'm picky, so no big deal. Love the combo fajitas and the rapid refills. The margarita laid me out flat.
Food was ok. Salsa was not good. Service was nice, but I had a waiter who couldn't answer my questions and had to keep asking the kitchen or others for the answers. It was so frustrating. Then they charged me $2 for Pico de Gallo and did not even ask me if this was okay. I would of said no thank you. Also, it wasn't even good! Dry and no flavor. I will not be back.
This place was honestly nothing special. It was past midnight and Los Amigos was one of the very few restaurants that were still open. Upon arrival it was hard to figure out where the front entrance was, turns out we had to walk around the corner where there wasn't a sign that said entrance. Once we …
Went last night Friday for dinner. Place was packed as there was a fight on the tv. When we arrived we didn't think we were going to be able to stay. They greeted us warmly and found us a place on the patio. We thought it was a good idea since it was so noisy inside. It was a bit noisy outside but was tolerable.
I just don't throw around 5 star reviews but I have to after ordering the molcajete! I am not worthy! This thing was amazing! Large shrimp, check. Carne Asada, check. Chicken, check! Cheese, check. In addition, it has cactus, peppers and pretty much everything you need for a delicious meal. Also It came …
Los Amigos is a great, family owned Mexican restaurant. Great happy hour margaritas, chicken wings and an awesome fiesta platter. Several dishes stand out for me. The tortilla soup is one of my favorites. Lots of chicken, squash, tomato, and avocado in a tasty broth. Great chile verde. Also try the Espolon tequila the owner, Cruz, keeps on stock. Great stuff. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. Karaoke is big there but I'm tone deaf so I don't participate. One of May favorite places in the valley. Give it a shot.
We love this place.. Great food- dog friendly- and reasonable prices. The outdoor patio is relaxing and comfortable. Our other Mexican restaurant on Riverside in Toluca Lake became too crowded and expensive. Also- it's nice to bring our pups to enjoy the large patio where they are furnished with water bowls... but... I was not made aware that the complimentary bean dip has chorizo in it!! I don't eat chorizo or red meat. They need tell make sure they mention that. Back again.... omg!! Love this place. Casual. Attentive staff. Great food. You gotta come here!! Just came home from there. Damn!!! The waiter told me that the beans have pork also!!! Why do that!! And not make people aware of it !!!!! I'm a bit pissed !! I don't eat pork !!!!
Very delicious chips and salsa and bean dip! Service is fast and very polite! They have very good salsa music makes you wanna get up and dance! Food tasted delicious and prices are very reasonable! Definitely coming back with our kids, they have very good kids choices. Don't forget a mango margarita
We were in the area looking for a mexican joint to check out... I didn't want do the usual franchise place so I look to Yelp for assistance. Los Amigos popped up with great reviews. Parking is across the street. The place has a nice outdoor patio with heaters! We sat in a cozy booth. Chips and salsa on point. …
Was visiting family from out of town, we were looking for a karaoke hot spot & a restaurant for dinner. This place was great! Good food, full house for karaoke & a great crowd. Wait staff was wonderful, owner was attentive to us & family said they would definitely be returning---for the food & karaoke!
I felt compelled to review this place because the most recent negative review had the nerve to plug another restaurant in their review. Classy and NOT suspicious at all. Anyway, I've been here twice and the food was pretty good. The beef was very dry and difficult to chew last time I went, unfortunately. …
All I can say is WOW! I have lived in the Burbank area for over 15 years and just discovered this fabulous restaurant run by Diana and Cruz. This is got to be the best Mexican restaurant in all Southern California. From now on this is my "go to" whenever I've got a craving for great Mexican food.
Best service I have had in a very long time. On top of that, I really appreciate that they have a vegan option with their veggie burrito (just ask without cheese). We came for my moms birthhday, and my entire family enjoyed it here! Their guacamole and salsa are also very declious -definitely coming back !
Solid Mexican food with all the standards you expect in LA, no frills, vegetarian options and $5 margaritas every day until 7pm. The bar is a good place to meet up with friends for a drink or to watch the game. They make their guacamole table side, the wait staff is very attentive and professional and the food is good. Close to many of the studios, free parking all around...
This was not good at all, my waiter is AMAZING but the authencity of the food is bad. I got the combo #1 (taco/enchiladia) and it lacks majooorr flavor. My margarita was sitting at the bar which my server and bartender realized then the bartender just put more ice in it then reblended it leaving ice chucks in it. So i had a flavorless dinner and a chunky icey margarita no bueno!!!
Reaaallly good enchiladas and chile rellenos, you get chips with beans which are really good. Normally in some places you only get salsa with chips while you wait but a good batch of beans make your trip worth it because you know if the beans are this good the rest of the food will be and it was for me.
Every time I come here I'm treated like a returning friend. This place has the freshest guacamole I've ever had and their menu has a lot of options. Generous portions to share or pig out :) The margaritas are delicious and if you sit at the bar expect to be treated with first class service. Very accommodating in every way. Highly recommend
There's nothing fancy about this place but the service is truly five star! My party of eight went here for lunch on a Sunday and received absolutely amazing service. Everyone was so attentive and helpful. I especially liked the bean dip they put out with the chips. It offers a nice counter to the spicier offerings.
Loved this place! We were driving back to Thousand Oaks from downtown Los Angeles and were looking for a descent Mexican Food restaurant Yelp had some good reviews for this place so we thought we'd give it a try. Los Amigos didn't disappoint the food and service were outstanding. If your ever in the area give Los Amigos a try you won't be disappointed.
This place is awesome!! We don't live around here but wanted good Mexican food and decided to come here. They are so welcoming and friendly as soon as you walk in! The food was delicious and very affordable! The sauce that comes on the Casa burrito was just the best! I would drive all the way from home (Riverside) just to have it again!! We didn't have any drinks but they looked really good too! All around, everything was awesome!
Hands down the best dining experience I've had in a while! Food was as requested (my husband is extremely picky) and the service was AMAZING! Happy hour nachos and buffalo wings were perfect and the taco Tuesday tacos were delish as well! Will definitely be back... SOON! Try it you won't be disappointed
Fantastic! We were stuck in the crazy business of Universal City and did a U-turn to come here as they immediately, without reservations agreed to a party of 20!! Who else does that? And...the food, the drinks, the servers, were all wonderful! We were greeted upon arrival with a smile and it all went great from there! We will be back- thank you staff at Los Amigos!!
Overall a 4.5-star rating. The food was surprisingly good here. I say surprisingly because most bars have high marks on the drinks but tend to come short with the food. I ordered La Entrana and it was incredible - asked for medium and got medium - five stars all the way. The server recommended getting this plate if I was in the mood for a steak, and he couldn't have made a better recommendation.
Amazing place! Lunch is great and so are the prices. I came for Taco Tuesday! $1 tacos and for happy hour $5 margaritas! Great service too! Highly recommend. My boyfriend is vegetarian and the server even went out of the way to make sure everything on the plate was vegetarian (the retried beans are not!). The margarita was strong, the carnitas tacos were incredible- very small but really good- the price was soooo good though. Definitely going to be my new taco Tuesday spot! Our server Victor was the best! They have self seating here and he had an entire full section and still was sooooo attentive and friendly. He let us know about all of the specials and had a great attitude. Love this place! Thanks!!
We've loved this place since the first time we visited about 2 years ago. Diana and Cruz made us feel like family right away, as did the fantastic wait staff. Speaking of, one thing we really appreciate about this place is if you need something like a refill or more napkins whatever any of the staff will help you. When I want another rita they'll do it and not say let me get your waiter, these guys hustle and the food is served quickly.
Love the bean dip & salsa that come with the chips. We ordered the Molcajete Los Amigos and it was delicious! The shrimp were yummy, the chicken moist, & the steak tender & flavorful. We also ordered the side salad which was generous in size and very tasty too. The service was very friendly & accommodating. Will definitely be returning in the future.
Eh, it was alright. Was not expecting anything fancy or life-changing, but would have liked the portions to be a bit more. The chicken verde enchiladas were small, not filled with much chicken, and little sauce. I was just hoping for a bit more. However, the margs were amazing! Go for those, for sure.
This is a great Mexican restaurant. The food was delicious and we had a good time. I'm giving four starts because the karaoke was so loud that we couldn't hear our waiter or each other. It was Kid's karaoke night when we came in. Sounds like fun and great idea for a family restaurant but I don't understand why the person running Karaoke couldn't adjust the volume a bit so that people could hear each other. Just a thought. Will definitely come back when in the mood for Mexican food.
So disappointing! Once again I've been fooled by the Yelp reviews, usually it's SCV people, but Et Tu Burbank! This place is horrible, seriously almost not even the time I'm taking to review it. I'm at the restaurant, only finished half of my burrito contemplating if I were to take it home and put into the …
I arrived about 30 mins before they were closing. Regardless of that, they were still VERY inviting and didn't push me to get a to go order. They said "no it's up to you brother, sit in if you'd like!". I ordered the chicken enchiladas with beans/rice and a side of chorizo. There was this stuff called sweet corn cake on the side??l My first time trying this stuff.. GOOD! So yea, this place gets 5 stars from the food to the server who was inviting and took cake or me. His name was Romel. Awesome guy.
LOVE!!! Friendly staff and great food and drinks! Karaoke a few nights a week in the bar area. The food is delicious!!!! I get the fish taco plate and it's so good! The drinks are good and greatly priced! Even with the great food and drinks the staff is what make me come back every time! The staff here is amazing!!!! Always give great service and extremely friendly and helpful!!!
I have been coming to Los Amigos for almost 3 years and I have consistently enjoyed the margaritas, table side guacamole, albondiga soup, and anything else I randomly order. What I like best is the best service ever! I won't name anyone because I don't want to leave anyone out and honestly everyone is attentive, friendly and very accommodating. I've invited several friends and now they come on their own. A nice atmosphere, family friendly, super casual and great value!
Good happy hour menu from 4-7 with an awesome patio to sit in! Friendly service, good variety in their menu. Food was very good and authentic. We ordered the nachos, chile relleno, enchiladas, and mole plate. Each item was tasty and fresh. The bean dip with the chips is also delicious! Plenty of street parking and prices were fair. I would definitely come back, overall great experience!
I have found my new favorite Mexican restaurant in the Valley! They give you delicious chips & salsa and bean dip to start with! Happy hour is everyday until 7pm and they have $5 margaritas. My only problem with this place is the margaritas are terrible!!!! They really need to fix this problem because the food is amazing! The mole is homemade and you cant go wrong with the tacos!
My husband and I are here tonight. The entrance was not clearly marked so we came in through the exit and were greeted with a nasty look from one of the waitresses. We walked to the host stand and waited for about 5 minutes while the host was laughing and talking with some of the servers. A white couple walked in after us and stood in line behind us. The host sat them before us and when my husband confronted him about it, he was incredibly defensive. He finally apologized and sat us at a larger table, claiming he gave us the best server. The server didn't come back to check on us and we had to wave him down whenever we needed something. The food was okay and the frozen margarita was watered down. Would not come to this place again.

Average Mexican food but the service is very slow and often they forgot your order. Been faithful costumer for almost 1yr and they never gave to me a discount (always tips them 20%) . U should take care bout your costumers especially when they bringing others costumers to your restaurant.
This place is awesome. The food was amazing (I ordered cheese enchiladas). Staff was very polite and helpful. I wanted to get out of the house for a bit so i decided to check this place out.The fact that they have karaoke was great because I went alone and even though I was by myself, I felt entertained watching others go up and sing. Being able to watch people do kareoke kind of took away the okward feeling of being by myself. I recommend this place. 4 stars because I wish there were more room, everything felt cramped together.
I've never eaten much here but I've karaoked a number of times in the past year. It used to be Michael's in a magical period of my karaoke career years ago and I was saddened when Michael's left. But then Los Amigos showed up with a new food menu and interior decor but other than that it was basically the same. Q-It-Up Entertainment still ran karaoke. They still had a great karaoke selection and stage. Good free parking across the street. Not too crowded. My heart suddenly opened to Los Amigos. The regulars have changed somewhat but they are a talented group of people. Don't expect a dive bar full of young hipsters. This is a classy joint with more seasoned karaoke performers who are here for serious fun in their 30s to 50s. The new young KJ is good but I would only suggest that he ride the volume levels a bit more as certain overzealous singers tend to peak the levels which can be a little hard on the ears. See you soon friends!
