“After 57 years of membership -- and a few claims -- I can not get to speak with anyone at USAA except, Euwana, the very competent telephone customer service rep from the credit card department with whom I just spent 34+ minutes. My problem: another long time USAA member -- and a friend -- was his by a car in Russia around noon on Wednesday; she has, among other issues, two broken bones in one shoulder and a compound fracture of her left tibia. She has had surgery on the shoulder and a start on fixing the tibia; she also has USAA-affiliated travel insurance, including air evacuation coverage from underwriter, United States Fire Insurance Company. US Fire says my friend does not need air evacuation: she should stay in the Russian hospital -- one surgeon speaks English -- indefinitely. And, I cannot find anyone at USAA that seems to care about one of their members with seemingly good insurance coverage in need of customer service. Where is Bob Mc Dermott?
