Walter Kerr Theatre
This is a lovely theater. It's a really nice, intimate space thats been beautifully restored--it has charming 1920s era paintings and decorative, gilded moldings on the walls and ceiling. Plus I just saw an awesome show there: A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder!!! SEE IT!
Ricky's Universal Watch Repair
Inside of Allen Drugstore (where incidentally there's also a diner and a post office!) this is a really nice guy with plenty of bands who repairs watches on the spot. Refinishing, overhaul, changing the crystal, etc. And you can pick up a pair of orthopedic shoes, mail your letter, and grab a grilled cheese all in the same place! Old Miami at its charming finest.
Que Bueno
Good wine, simple tapas, atmosphere... We come here for a cheap date or a pre-date. The kid's at a movie and the wine cupboard is bare, so what do you do? Visit Michel or the nice young ladies here to get some advice or just have them open your bottle for you. Sit at a barrel table, munch on Serrano ham or manchego and garlic and olives... Could you be happier?
