Amazing service!!! I showed up at the end of the day, with three small kids in tow, a large bolt in my front passenger tire and a low pressure warning. Rick checked with the guys as they were wrapping up for the day and they agreed to help me out. Three other places I had called in route to here quoted me 1.5hrs minimum. Andy, the mechanic was so kinda and quick, none of us had to get out of the car. They couldn't patch it (too big) but put a plug in and then added air to all four tires. They were so generous to me and my kids making sure they were happy and we got out of there fast. I know I'll need new tires soon and I won't be shopping around. Quality service goes a long way in my book. Thank you Rick and Andy!!

Rick and his team are amazing! Just before a business trip, I learned that my brakes needed replacing. I called Rick, he got me in to see what needed to be done and booked my appointment. Within a few hours my new brakes were installed and I was on time for my flight.

The best auto shop in town! Honest and reliable. I love going here because I know I won't get taken advantage of and the work will get done right the first time. The service is second to none.

First, made a quote on phone on tire repairing because nail pierced my tire; they said YES that they can repair it. Then went to there, discussed, talked and finally agreed to repair the nail place of my tire. The repairing technician is a tall, slim and young white man; he used plug to repair it; very fast so that I didn't see the whole process in the time that I just use the towel to wipe my dirty hand. When I got home, waiting for 1 hour to cool down, then I checked the repairing: shocking! the repaired tire pressure is 40 psi ! its cap is very lose; the outside of the plug was left too long so that I needed to use my knife to trim down. All of other three tires are 36 psi that the same technician put the air into. He put me in a very dangerous position because the 40-psi repaired tire is easily blown out anytime! Never go to this place!

Rick is a very nice guy. I go here because of the front office service, prices on BFGs was also one of the lowest around.

Went in for an ABS traction control problem. Charged for an hour of labor just to pull codes from the computer. That was about the extent of their troubleshooting. They didn't even give me the part number for the part I need to replace. I elected to not have the work done there. Not really very helpful with my automotive problem.

This place is amazing! I needed a bearing replaced and they saved me HUNDREDS of dollars! They ordered my parts same day and got everything done in a couple hours! My car is riding like it is brand new! Thanks for the amazing service and excellent repair!

My brake repair came out to a lot more than I'd expected but I feel confident that Rick and his team did a good job. He was kind enough to give me a break (should be there motto, we give people brakes ;) on a few fees and bring down the price some because he rotors and brake pads were in worse shape than I'd thought. He even replaced my oil cap that had melted in a previous incident without charging me. He just went ahead and did it. I really appreciate the work you guys did. Thank you.

Great customer service

Great customer service They handled a warranty claim for 2 tires that I had not bought from them and they were extremely helpful. Worked with me to be competitive on the replacement cost and I know where I will be buying tires from next time I need them. They did not have my tires in their stock and they got them in just 1 day. Set an appointment to get them mounted and balanced and I was in and out in about 30 minutes! Rick and Justin rock!

I have been a customer for the last few years but when I suddenly had a problem with my AC I took my car into an AC shop for a free evaluation. They told me my compressor was bad and the repair was quoted at $800-$1,000. I put off having the work done and when I took my car in for routine maintenance I asked for it to be checked out but didn't tell them about the previous diagnosis. Well to my surprise Rick told me that it wasn't the compressor and the repair was less than a third of what I was quoted at the AC shop! It's great to have a repair shop I can trust and that can handle all of my needs. Thanks for the great service Rick and Justin!

A friend referred me here after my car needed to be towed and I needed an honest opinion.

These guys are awesome! I've been taking my car and referring friends and family for some time now. Justin, the manager is personable and kind. The entire staff is friendly and they all do great work at good rates. It is obvious the pride they put into doing things right the first time with quality parts. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

There's no way they can be there for 30+ years without being the best. Today just proved it. All brakes repaired, slow leak on tire fixed, and it came in under the estimate. These guys are pros and the only shop I'd trust to work on my brakes anymore. Thank you Rick and Dan.

Great shop. Highly recommended. I got 4 new tires, an alignment and replaced a tie rod all very reasonably priced. Staff is nice and attentive. They also offer shuttle service. Will definitely be back.

What a great experience. I was looking for a reputable shop to be a long term automotive service advisor after being continually "sold to" by the Lexus dealer. RB Tire & Brake delivered! I needed front tires, alignment and front/back brakes. Justin provided estimates by email prior to dropping the car and it had incredible detail. After dropping off the car they realized I didn't need many of the items in the estimate. Service was outstanding and the pricing fair. If you are looking for a well run and trusted shop, RB Tire & Brake is a fantastic choice!

This is a great, professionally run shop. I really appreciate the outstanding service, and how conveniently located they are. I will come back later to replace my tires (they will be worn out soon), and an alignment. I am very thankful for Justin (shout out!) and the team for their hard work and dedication.

I'm not sure if this counts as a review as I left after the price disclosed to me. Guy at the desk just just gave me a price of 300$ to put on two front struts. I even have my own struts purchased beforehand. Then he proceeded to tell me it's a 3 hour job. Found a good place in esco instead.

RB Tire & Brake has saved me many times both in parts and labor, discounted rentals and giving HONEST assessments of real concerns without milking lesser concerns like most auto repair shops seem to do (prey on ignorance). Rick even went as far as reviewing a forum post that gave a mechanic a better way in to access a part saving me several hundred dollars in labor. These guys are willing to try to save you money and really listen to customer concerns. Despite moving away from the area, I still find myself going here.

Couldn't agree more with Charity and everyone else. I had a wonderful experience with Rick and Robyn. I generally like to stick with one outlet on certain things, and auto repair is one of them. It takes a lot to earn my trust and business when it comes to working on my car simply because things can get very out of hand; I have had plenty of experiences with other mechanics (I'm sure we all have) that never really told me what was wrong and didn't seem to care about fixing the car. With Rick I feel like he is really looking out for my (and my car's) best interest, and that goes a long way with me.

These are guys are great automotive technicians. I had some really bad noise going on in my front-end. They immediately diagnosed the problem and found that I needed just front brake pads. They were really fast and super nice. They even gave me a ride to and from my work. If you need good tire and brake place in Rancho Bernardo give RB Tire and brake a call. Ask for Robin....she is really nice.

Our company has been using RB Tire and Brake for over 20 years. They have handled everything from oil changes to complete tranmission and engine replacement. They are fair in their pricing and offer a convenient pick up and delivery if needed.

Had my oil changed and while it was in the shop, they checked out some other minor parts on my car and found that the brake pads were almost down to bare metal. Had it driven it too much further, it could have cost me a lot more money. You really can't replace a good honest mechanic. Thanks Guys!

Stood behind their work, and did a good job. Had a starter problem, their fix didn't work after a while, but they gave me full credit for the work done. Turned out to be a different issue, not their fault.

We have taken our cars here for years. They are honest and competent. When you are a regular, they go out of their way to help you. I can call for quick advice if my car acts up and they will take it at a moment's notice. It is a small shop with personal service and good mechanics.
