I used to work here and here's what I saw: they regularly sell half dead old roses by peeling off most of the pedals, the shop is dirty and run down full of junk from thrift stores and Marshall's. They use low quality flowers and vases, and it's way too expensive for the quality. She'll often buy plants from Home Depot, then mark them up 5-6X, especially orchids and poinsettias. The owners of this shop run the business from home by having calls forwarded to their cell phones. Expect confusion about delivery, especially around busy holidays. The owner regularly ignores orders during the week when she decides to play piano all day at the retirement home. They also have no problem delivering late (or days or weeks early by mistake), to the wrong address, or after 9PM. The owner blames the employees for her disorganization if someone gets flowers late. When I quit, the only two floral designers were also leaving. My biggest issue was not getting paid. It's bad enough that delivery drivers get paid $400-$500 a week for 65 hours of work, this includes gas money for 500+ miles a week. During my last week, I was promised $75 for delivering 25 plants to businesses around the metro area. On payday, she told me she would not pay me for any of those deliveries because I hadn't given her signed slips, which she told me up front were not necessary for this order. When I asked her to talk about this issue at her home office, she told me she wouldn't talk to me, and would call the police if I came to talk to her about it.
My family has been going to The Flying Frogs for 12 years and it just keeps getting better! The tunnels can keep a kid occupied for hours without breaking the bank, the pizza's good, and they have games for even toddlers. The employees are polite and friendly and respond immediately to any needs a customer might have. It's also really clean. Love this place!!! :)
The pink house recently saved my rear when the flowers for my wedding did not deliver on time. I googled in a panic, and was SOOOOOOOOO lucky to have called them. They told me to come on over and greeted me with confidence. They took me back to their cooler and let me just dig in! I was able to pick anything I wanted and they had EVERYTHING! It was also fresh! They helped me with great suggestions on how and what I could do with the boquets. Thank you so much for saving my wedding! The flowers turned out beautifully!!!
DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST! I had the misfortune of picking this florist for my wedding & despite having made 2 visits to speak with the floral designer Steven and sent Betty the owner emails depicting exactly what I wanted AND calling the week of my wedding to confirm my order, they got EVERYTHING I requested wrong!!! The color of the flowers in my bouquet were wrong, the ribbon on my bouquet & the MOH bouquet was not the color I requested & was told that the "designer" made a call to change it but never thought to call & consult the bride (really!?!), the ribbon on my bouquet was frayed they literally cut a piece of ribbon & tacked it on to cover the seam but didn't fold the edges to cover the fraying (a kindergartner could have done it better); the style of the arrangement was not what I requested & I even set them pictures of EXACTLY how I wanted it to look and they STILL got it wrong! The only reason the review is longer is b/c of lack of characters...BEWARE OF THIS FLORIST!!!
I ordered a Teleflora arrangement for my mother-in-law. I have used this florist in the past and was satisfied, and they are literally down the street from my in-law's home. I called directly so that i could make a few changes. I requested they NOT use the Lenox bowl and instead substitute more Christmas greenery and a few extra flowers. I was assured that it would be no problem at all. In thanking me, my Mom-in-law sent an email picture and I was dismayed to see an unattractive, sparse arrangement in the Lenox bowl with tacky red candles (the Teleflora ad used gold candles to compliment the gold accents on the Lenox bowl). I visited a week later and the roses were all but gone, and she had added some red mini-carnations she had purchased to fill it out! I am so incensed that there is really no point in contacting the Pink House Florist--they obviously don't care or that would never have been allowed out the door. They wouldn't give me my money back and I certainly don't want more of their "product". All I can do is caution others to perhaps look elsewhere.
I hired the SillyDilly the Clown's chicken telegram service as an added surprise on an already hopping party for my husband's 35 birthday celebration. The performer was excellent, top notch and wrote and sang a very funny, most appropriate song for my husband Bill. Ms. Chicken had everyone at the party in stitches, which is no easy task with my crowd! Great service and I was most pleased.
DO NOT USE Pink House Florist! I have NEVER written a negative review online before but felt I needed to say something about this florist. I am an event planner/fundraiser in Chicago and had my wedding in Savannah, GA on June 20, 2009. I met with Pink House staff in January 2009 and called them multiple times about my order. I had to seek out getting a contract signed with them and had a very difficult time getting helpful service when calling. My deposit was due two weeks in advance and I called them to pay, only to find out the staff did not have an accurate record of the flowers I'd ordered and they had to update the contract and call me back. I did not receive a call about the payment so assumed I would pay when I arrived. When I arrived in Savannah I called to make the full payment and was told the flowers I ordered weren't in season. Not in season??? I believe it's not too much to ask that a FLORIST know if and when the flowers I've ordered will be in season or not -
