I will start this review by saying that I have moved 6 times in the last 6 years, so I am no stranger to the moving process. While I never expect great customer service from a moving company, my experience with T&L was BY FAR the worst I've ever dealt with. I purchased an Amazon Local deal for 3 hours moving service with 3 movers. I live in a 1 Bedroom apartment and was moving a couple miles down the street into another apartment, and I really only needed help moving my furniture (I moved everything else on my own). After I purchased the Amazon deal, I called T&L and scheduled a day to move. The man on the phone told me to email them all my information, so I sent them a detailed email with the requested date, start and end addresses and even listed out the items I needed help moving. All I got back in response (over a day later) was "You are confrim." (apparently T&L is too busy to spell-check their 1 sentence emails). Because T&L failed to give me even a time window of when they would be arriving on my move date, I called them a couple days before the scheduled move and asked them when I should be expecting them to arrive. The same guy I talked to originally told me between 9-10AM. The day of the move, I get to my apartment early to make sure I have everything ready to go. Around 9:30AM, I get a call from T&L and the guy tells me they are now moving someone else before me and would be at my place between 1-3PM. I am a little miffed at this point, but because I knew my move wouldn't take them too long I wasn't too concerned. 3:15PM rolls around and I get another phone call saying they are still moving the first people and that they would call me when they are on their way to my apartment. Several hours go by and it is almost 6:00PM and I STILL have not heard from these guys. I call them asking for an explanation, and the man rudely tells me "M'am, I told you we were moving someone else before you." I respond back that he had promised me earlier in the week he'd be at my place in the morning, so I don't understand why he is now saying he is moving someone else first. He then quickly says he will be at my place in 45 minutes. An HOUR AND A HALF goes by and it is now almost 8:00PM and I am supposed to be moved out of my apartment by the next day, so I am stressing pretty hard at this point. I call T&L again and not only get no answer, but the dude's voicemail box is FULL so I can't even leave a message if I wanted to. About 15 minutes later the guy calls me back and says they are still working on the first move and starts spouting off excuses about how "moving is unpredictable" etc. I then tell the guy at T&L that he has now completely screwed me because I am supposed to be moved out the next day and that as a young female who lives alone, there is no way I can do this by myself. The guy is not very sympathetic on the phone, but then says he can maybe come by early in the morning. At this point I have no reason to trust that they can show up at all, so I tell him I would rather just get my money back and he even said "I don't blame you." So because of these guys poor customer service I had to force my brother to take off work and get my poor mother to help me move furniture all day in the rain. I will say Amazon customer service was GREAT and immediately refunded me the money for my local deal. Too bad they can't refund the hours of my life lost waiting around on these fools.
