“Daily Happy Hour: 4:30-6:30p - $1 off all pints, reasonably priced pitchers (about $10) all the time. They have such yummy and thirst quenching microbrews! Its a chill joint, show up in your work out clothes and just hang on a nice day when the doors are rolled up. Have a couple cold ones and some calorie driven food.”

“Mon-Thurs - 1/2 price appetizers. They have hockey games on TV, decent bar, and some really good pub fare. The pretzel with cheese sauce is bad for you in all the right ways. The deep fried pickles are pretty good... ”

“Free Wine Tasting - Sat, 2–6 pm, Sun at 11 am–4 pm. This is civilized but not-too-schmancy wine shop that offers free tastings on Saturday and Sunday. They get a lot of regulars at the tastings, in particular people who do their shopping at the Ballard farmers market on Sundays. That’s great because its easier to make friends when you see them over and over again!”

“Cheap groceries. I admit it; I'm a picky gay. It takes me forever to pick out the right piece of filet mignon to barbeque. However, sometimes you have to know when to do things cheap. Shopping for my partner’s 30th birthday bash was getting out-of-hand expensive. I got 3 pounds of Roma Tomatoes for $1.99 and bottles of wine for $2.99 each. Nobody knows cheap wine if you let it breathe in a beautiful wine carafe ;)”
