The bikini wax I received was totally fine (I came on a Groupon), but then, they have this "leave us a good review for a discount" program... So I figured, I had a good experience, why not write about it and take advantage of the discount? On my way out, I told the receptionist I wanted to do the review program. She started going over the rules and it got a little overbearing. I said, "ok... I'll write the review right now... no problem..." she says: "no, don't write it now; in need to see it, approve it (by the way - highly unethical), etc, etc.... :-/ ? ! She said to write it before I was about to come in again. A little bit of a pain the ass, but fine. So I called them up just now, wanting to come in for a wax and mentioned the review program, and now the receptionist said I couldn't have a discount for my next visit, that i should've written the review right away, and that it would be for my following visit....?!! This whole ordeal with the receptionists has been such a hassle. That's why I'm giving them 2 stars. I didn't feel valued and respected as a customer; on the contrary: 1- they're talking down to me like I'm some school child ("our sign clearly says...") 2- she told me I was a liar and that the other receptionist couldn't possibly have told me what I said she had 3- they offered a hassle, instead of a discount. Wax Spa should heavily reconsider their reviews-for-discounts program as, besides being sightly unethical, it only hassles the customer.

This place has a crappy vibe the second you walk in. The front desk lady was extremely rude like they obviously have been rude before to other clients for sure. I bought an eyelash extension Groupon from them and I rescheduled my appointment once for 30 dollars then I came 20 minutes late to one of my appointments due to traffic and they said they couldn't help me even though No clients were there waiting to be seen and then she wanted to charge me another 30 dollar fee. I said forget that and I walked out right after the lady explained to me very rude that she can't do anything for me. Horrible customer service and I work in hospitality so I know how to treat people . I walked out and returned my groupon and I'm so glad I didn't get my eyelashes done there. Taking my money elsewhere!

They have a 3 week policy if you book your 3 weeks appointment in advance you get 20% off of your next visit, which I thought, hey! If you're going to be getting waxed, why not book in advance, so I do so on every visit I've gone on. I just went on my last visit for the receptionist to tell me if i changed my appointment time to later on the same day that makes your 3 weeks that they book you for, the discount does not apply, but if you go before the scheduled time it still applies, so ej when I called to push my appt time for an hr later the receptionist never explained that to me (someone please explain to me, where does that makes any sense?) Now do not get me wrong, if that's your policy, as dumb as it is, that's your policy, but please train your receptionist(s) to inform the clients, I've changed my appointments numerous times before, ( because i do work)and not once was I told that the time matters as far as getting the discount goes, I was under the impression that it's the date that matters. Anyways I had to pay full price, but it's ok. I wouldn't have had any issues, if that had communicated that to me. I'll take my business elsewhere. She tells me she doesn't know when her boss comes in to work or there isn't a contact number for him, she has no way of getting in contact with him. No thank you. I'll go somewhere where I'll be able to contact a manager if there is an issue. Even if it's by email. The communication there sucks.

Friend eyes had glue inside. Had to go to hospital almost lost eye sight. Paid $200.00 and lost a whole weeks work. They should give her back a portion of her money to help pay the Dr's. The UT don't care if your allergic, they just want your money

Every time I go the wax is pain-free. Every one is super friendly and you can usually walk-in if they are not busy. However, its better to make an appointment because this place is popping. 😀👍

For having my first wax and first time in miami i would say it was a great experience. She made it painless, quick, and easy. However i only put 4 stars instead of 5 because the request was a brazilian not a playboy in even though she did not charge so that kind of messed up a nearly perfect service. Great place!

Wax spa is amazing. I had my brazilian done with gisele and it was incredible. She is super professional, sweet and very caring lady not to mention extremely fast. The wole process took about 10 minutes. The place is very clean and beautifull. The guy at the front is very accomodating and funny. I am coming back in 3 weeks for more fun in the sun :)

I tried this spa today with a Groupon for Ultrasound cavitation. The moment you walk in, the ambiance is calm and relaxed as if preparing you for what's to come. I give them high ratings on cleanliness, professionalism, and friendliness. Carolina who performed my service was very professional and knowledgeable in her field. Can;t wait to go back for more treatments.

I have never been treated this way before by a Owner of a Business. I purchase the Groupon deal and unfortunately 2weeks later I had to do a surgery, and the doctor warn me to not have any treatment done on my body for at least 3 months. And so I called Wax Spa and explained my situation asking if I could use the same amount in a facial treatment (as it says on the terms and conditions). The owner answer the phone with no manners and said "call Groupon and cancel", I kept trying to explain that Groupon does not reembolse the money after 7days of the purchase and that I wanted to use that same amount towards something else, and he insisted and started to sell me a different package $200 more expensive. Our conversation on the phone was really hard, and so I decided to drive to the place and talk face to face. Once at the place, my experience was even worse. I spoke for 2min and he started to talk over my voice. He was very stubborn and unaccommodating. Repeated at least 5X that the amount I had paid ($109 for 8 Cavitation Session) could only cover 1 session (and my money was only worth $42) and I had to pay an extra $40 + TIP because Groupon only pays him that amount, for a treatment that cost $80. He became rude and obnoxious and actually used the following words "IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT YOU HAD A SURGERY, I CAN NOT GIVE YOU ANY SERVICE FOR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID". The Owner is awkward and has NO idea what COSTUMER SERVICE means. Apart from being dressed down, he was lining on his chair, talking to me side ways and kept interrupting me every time someone came in. I felt ignored and DISRESPECTED. I kept calm at all times and at the end I told him how I was feeling about his attitude and he literally said: I'm sorry it's your choice to be here, I have tons of good reviews". I couldn't wait to get out of there. I lost my $109 unfortunately, but would never go Back!

I was a loyal customer for the wax spa for about 3 years. I was very happy with their services and especially for Ina’s amazing work. The manager/owner has always been very rude to customers and staff but I kept coming since Ina always did such a great job. I few months ago I found out that Ina has left and I did not take her information. I was very sad but decided to give the wax spa a chance with the new staff. The services have been good but not comparable to Ina’s amazing service. Recently I have noticed that their business has decreased a lot. Last time I went for a service, I had called to ask if I could come to the appointment 10 minutes late. The receptionist said it was not a problem and when I arrived the place had no customers. But before leaving the owner got very rude with me about my tardiness. This man was so irrespectful, rude and mean. I NEVER want to go back to this place. Luckily I did my research today and found where Ina now works.

I think this place is beautiful. I had a spray tan there by Carolina and it was the most perfect tan and it truly made me look star-quality. The tan didn't leak or wear off unevenly and the service of all the staff was truly amazing. If there is ever a bad word even thought this place will go above and beyond to make your experience more enjoyable. Thank you Carolina and Wax Spa. I will be back.

Great Customer Service and Very Professional. I was new to the city and was used to my previous wax place in New York and was a bit hesitant to find someone new for my Brazilian bikini and eyebrows waxing in Miami. Wax Spa not only was more skilled, but more professional and accommodating than my waxing place in NY. They are very detailed oriented and never make me feel uncomfortable (ladies, we all know sometimes how we feel about these experiences...) and they always give helpful advice. I highly recommend them for any body or facial waxing. For the service alone, it is well worth the experience. I double-dare you to find someone who makes you more comfortable than Wax Spa.

Had a great experience at Wax Spa yesterday. I heard about them through Citysearch and after reading all the positive reviews decided to give them a try. It was worth every penny! My waxer did an excellent job on my eyebrows and made me feel totally comfortable while I was getting a brazilian bikini wax. Let's say I've had some quite unpleasant experiences looking for a deal around where I live on getting waxed... but Wax Spa is the best place I've been to so far! Christina, well she is amazing. She is so fun and sweet as she's waxing my lady parts. I also have very sensitive skin and she is great with accommodating my needs. It's not fun thing getting hair ripped out. But it's great when you can find a place where you can laugh at the same time... you could say it numbs the pain :) Needless to say I've found my go to waxing spot and will never stray to another salon, never ever. Let me just start by saying I hate bikini waxes and I couldn't be more picky about who touches my brows. I'm extremely sensitive to pain "down there" and I don't have a lot of brow, so if someone waxes just one or two extra hairs…. I took a risk after many painful bikini waxes and went to Wax Spa after reading all the reviews about them. So I thought it was worth a try. It was the most painless wax I ever had in my life (Yes!!!! You read it correct PAINLESS). Since then I won't go to anyone else. For brows and bikini wax I went to Christina and she not only took the time to make everything perfect, the charge was far more reasonable than all those ridiculous spas and so called waxing centers. The service is personal and precise. They listen to what you want and give you just that. Also, Christina remembers all the little details of my life every time I come in. It's like going to hang out with your friends and coming out all clean, shiny and pretty! I am so excited to have found everything I'm looking for in a hair removal center in one adorable place. That's rare in Miami. Thank you girls for always being generous, thoughtful and the BEST WAXERS in THE CITY! P.S. The worst waxing,would not recommend this place to anybody,the wax technicians doesn't know what they doing !! No experience , very painful , takes forever to do bikini!! Not clean, they double dip the sticks!!!

Perfect Eyebrows and Brazilian....Perfect Place...These People Know What They Are Doing On All Levels. I had an all around positive experience. It was quick, to the point, stress free, and well done. I came for an eyebrow and brazilian appointment and it was perfect. Oksana did my waxing and she couldn t have done a better job. This place is truly a gem. The receptionist, Boris (I believe), was also very nice. These people know what they are doing and they make things happen the way they want them to be done. The place is as uplifting as the bright walls!

Best wax ever!. I m one of those people that loves the results of waxing but hates the pain. I had a Brazilian wax and eyebrows. To my surprise it was as close to painless as I ve ever had. On top of that... I am VERY happy with the results. I don t usually write reviews but after this very positive experience, I felt compelled. I should also mention that the lovely wax pro was named Christina. She was experienced and very knowledgeable. If you would like the same experience, I would highly recommend that you ask for her!

Amazing Air Brush tans!!! I had never gone tanning before and I was afraid to try the Mystic tan so instead I received a custom airbrush tan from Carolina and it looked amazing!!!! My tan looked so natural afterward as if I had been laying out in Hawaii! I now have no tan lines and the perfect sun kissed look! I would highly recommend it if you were a tanning newbie like me.

I had read about Wax Spa on Citysearch and nearly fell head over heels with the reviews. I made an appointment. and made my way in. I hadn't been waxed since I gave birth to my daughter 16 months ago...actually before that because I didn't get waxed while I was pregnant either. Anyway LOL. Christina was super cool and totally made me feel comfortable during the whole session (full legs, Brazilian, and underarms). Did I mention they don't double dip? Total Bonus Points! I can finally say I have found my new place to Go To. The prices are definitely not bad either ($43 for Full Legs) =O where some salons charge $65+. So, good customer service, great hygiene, and awesome prices... How could you go wrong?!!

Probably the dirtiest wax place in Miami. The owner Ina does a fairly good job most times, but the place needs some serious cleaning. Wax all over the walls. It's loud & not very organized, but it is so close to my home!

Loved WAX SPA. I was looking for a new place to get the "Playboy" wax and came across all of the great reviews for this place, so I decided to try it. First, Boris in the reception area is extremely friendly and makes you feel right at home even though he is a guy. I had requested INA and she was amazing. She is fast and has a great personality. They sell the NO SCREAM cream but Boris told me that I probably woldnt even need it , and he was right! Girls, listen to me......put down the razor. There are other options. Two words....Wax Spa. They will change your life - Ina has converted me from a shaver to a life-time waxer. I know what you are thinking, shaving is so much easier and less painful....but, seriously, Ina takes the best care of you and you don't even realize that she is waxing you between the chit chat. As long as she waxes, I will go to her. I had my first Brazilian bikini wax at the Wax Spa. I felt really comfortable and it was not painfull at all.They sell a "no scream cream" that you apply 45-60 min. before waxing and it numbs the area.I strongly recommend it. This place also offers incredible facials which I was tempted to try, but didn't have the time on this visit ( will be back for one in 2 weeks ). I was searching for a waxing center around where I live and found this incredible place.After reading all their reviews I called and made an appointment for the next day. Being a man it is kind of hard to find a place that do men and take it as a normal procedure and not something out of the ordinary and weird. My appointment began right on time. The girl did my back with shoulders, full legs and buttocks in about an hour. I don't know what kind of special wax they use, but that was my first time I could relax during the service. This place has the best waxers I've ever seen. I went there with two of my friends. It was our first visit and we were treated like royalty. I got Brazilian bikini, one of my friends got a Playboy bikini with buttocks strip and the other had her legs and eyebrows waxed.Everything was done in less than an hour. The guy at the front was very helpful in explaining different services and packages. I was very surprised that they call regular customers coming in by their first name and not just " You next ". Today I was very lucky to have my service done by a young girl whose name is Ina and let me tell you, it was something out of this world. WORST...PLACE...EVER!!!! – DO NOT go to The Wax Spa! “Spa,” yeah right!!! It’s more like a small office in a shopping center divided into two or three mini rooms with a tiny table where you lay down to get waxed and a small metal folding chare where you can place your things while your getting waxed. And the waxing “specialist” is more like a professional torturer! She rushes through the entire waxing process, leaving you with hairs that are broken off, as apposed to pulled out from the root. She also does not apply any pressure to the areas after pulling the strip and does not remove the remaining wax remnants with oil, leaving you super sticky. I have been to many waxing places and the way The Waxing Place’s waxing specialist performs waxing is not the way it should be done! And the way they charge for services is questionable. I went for a full leg and brazilian wax. I asked the cashier girl (before I got waxed) what was included in the full leg wax and she said that it included everything from your ankles to the top of your thighs, but not the bikini area, which is understandable. What is not understandable is that they not only charged me for the full leg, but also for the inner thigh. When I asked the cashier why I was being charged for the inner thigh, she said “because we divide everything into sections and not everyone who gets a full leg need the inner thigh,” even though she told me the full leg included everything from the ankles to the top of the thighs! I was also charged not only for the brazilian, but also for the bikini area. When I asked her about the bikini charge, she said “the brazilian does not include the bikini area!” WHAT? When have you ever heard of a brazilian price not including the bikini area as part of the waxing? THIS PLACE IS SUPER SHADY!! BEWARE!!

First time waxing! Awesome experience. – It's been 2 hrs since i got my first wax done at the wax spa. I must admit that Ina was great. She was honest enough to tell me that for my first wax ever, i should start with bikini even though i wanted the playboy(all hairs gone!). Happens to be that i was very tollerable to the pain and i did the whole 9 yards! It was great. She gave me a free sample of some liquid to avoid in-grown hairs and i was very happy for that. OVERALL, IT WAS GREAT! THANK YOU FOR MY FIRST WAX EVER! I HAD AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE.

Overall good expirience – the receptionist was a little snarky and made me feel like I was bothering her with my questions but Julia the waxing specialist was great. She was very pleasant and the waxing didn't hurt as much as with other places. the palce is clean and neat their prices are very resonable and they have good discount programs. I'll be back there.

Go elsewhere if you want to be treated well. – If the word "SPA" is in your business' name customers may expect a SPA-like experience! It's nothing close. Rude front desk staff. A lot of first-time customers but very few repeat. Tried to cancel once cuz of an emergency and got charged!! Too bad the owner is so conceited. Don't forget the way potential customers are treated! If you park in his illegally marked space he threatens to illegally tow you! Of course, he never does this to any of the men visiting the strip mall. Just the ladies. What customer service!

Fantastic experience,great customer service,super affordable – Oh My God! It was the best experience you could ask for under the circumstances. It was my first waxing experience there alone my first Brazilian and Ina at Wax Spa made the experience fantastic. She was super patient seeing that it was my first time and even took time to comfort me in between waxing. Highly recommend Wax Spa for their service and ambiance. Really private rooms and a super friendly staff. Loved it, loved it, loved it!!! If this is your first time or your 100th go to Wax Spa for all your waxing needs. The pricing was incredible for the high end service.

The Best in Miami – I usually get my monthly grooming done at a place in Aventura. Terrible parking (small lot with Walgreens and a Kosher supermarket makes it impossible to go in and out fast) and a need to get a babysitter every time I go had me thinking about trying a place closer to home. After searching and reading all the reviews on Citysearch I stopped on Wax Spa. I called and was able to get an appointment with Ina the next day because they were and are SO busy. The place is small but cozy and very cute. I was a bit nervous as I am trying a new person to groom my privates. Ina was so friendly and I must say that the wax that they use is great. Product is not everything but it does help and her technique is unbelievable and flawless. It was, as another reviewer states, virtually painless as waxing goes. I do cheat and I apply a numbing cream prior to my appointment, but honestly I don't think I need it or will use it in the near future. I am used to a longer wax appointment and I wondered what the after "look" would be with just 15 minutes of waxing. I'm a believer now that I don't need 45 minutes and I no longer need to make a trip across town.

Never Again! – What a sorry experience I had at Wax "Spa". First, it is definitely not a spa, or even close. It's a place with noisy cubicles, sparsly furnished with not one spa amenity. Next, the waxing. Sorry, but despite the guy in the front trying to convince me how lucky I was to find them, the waxing left me with red bumps. I'm still sore and this has never happened in anyplace that I've gotten waxed.Ina was very nice, but relatively inexperienced. I would guess that she's been doing this less than 4-5 years. There are so many other palces, I'm really sorry that I went here just because it's convenient. Next time I'll take the extra drive a get some really great waxing as I've been so used to.

The one and only Ina @ Wax Spa – Ina wax de-verginized me. That can't be a word- whatever. I went to her before I got married and I was super duper nervous. She was friendly, made me feel SO comfortable, and was damn quick. Before I knew it she was all done! I couldn't imagine going to anyone else but her . . .well if push comes to shove I might go to one of the other girls that work with her. What can I say, after my first experience I've become a wax slut.

The best place for waxing and facials – The best waxing technique in the city. I wax every 3 weeks and do facials quite regularly and this one has the best technique ever... very modern clean spa/waxing center with outstanding waxers and facial therapists. Try it out !

Incredible.... – LOVE this place. I got done and I immediately thought... OMG, I must tell all of my girlfriends immediately. I've been waxing for years and years, both doing it myself at home and at a number of spas and waxing centers in town. I fancy myself a pretty tough cookie after all these years of ripping my own hair out, but seriously folks, this was a dream. I've got sensitive skin and usually after getting my brows done, I look like I've been in a fight, with large unattractive red swatches on my face. After my first waxing, I walked out of there with no redness at all... not even immediately afterward. It was great. And as for the bikini waxing, I kept thinking... wow, this doesn't hurt at all. Major bonus time. I'm definitely going back. And I'm definitely telling all my girls about it. Highly recommend you try it out... even if you're a waxing devotee. I think you'll love it.

Better than the J Sisters – i got my first brazilian at the famous j sisters salon in new york, and for years couldn't find anyone in miami to compare, but then i met ina -- and i've never gone back to the j sisters (specially the one in miami). ina is great, and adjusts the speed of her work to the sensitivities of her client (a big plus; for some people, a slower waxing process is less painful -- but most waxers just speed through it, regardless). i highly recommend ina and her skills. (plus, she'll make you laugh).

Lost for words !!!!!! – Just came back from Wax Spa and have to say Ina is not just amazing waxer she is super incredibly amazing!!!! I never had my upper legs and full bikini (front and back) done in less than 15minutes. Came home, took a shower, looked in the mirror...No rash, No bumps, No redness as I would always get at "famous, we are on every corner" Miami waxing centers. Ina you are more than a Wax Queen...You are a Goddess. Good luck to you on winning this year "Best of". I just voted for you.

Beautiful Results – I found Wax Spa thru this website and boy am I pleased that I did. I'm about to give birth next week and wanted to get waxed for my delivery. Not only was my waxing lady thorough, but she made the whole experience incredibly comfortable, especially in my state. She's a mother also and knew how to make me feel both welcomed and beautiful. Amazing Bikini Wax – It takes a great amount of skill and incredible disposition to perform bikini waxes, and to do them well. Ina is by far the best bikini waxer I've ever been to. Everyone here is so friendly and personable. Its like Cheers, everybody knows your name. Ina also does amazing brows too.

Best facial ever !! – The waxing here is awesome but I decided to give their facials a try as well since the price was right and the place is great. I've had a lot of facials and have to say that Ina gave the hands down best facial I've ever had! She's fantastic, really listens to your skin concerns and uses great, gentle products (and never tries to sell you products either). It's an amazing experience and prices are super reasonable as well. Of course, the waxing is the best in town as well, I won't go anywhere else.

Great for First Timers – Hello! I was here Thursday August 13th with my friend for a evening appointment. We were a little bit late but the spa was able to accommodate us. We were tourists deciding to do the locals thing! I made a reservation two weeks in advance. We arrived and met Boris who is a hoot!! Way too funny. He introduced us to Ina which I understand is the Wax Queen! I've never waxed before so I was wondering what this would feel like. Ina was pretty gentle and she helped calm me down. I wanted the playboy but....I opted for deep bikini and the inner thighs. I will have to come back later when I am much braver for the whole thing! Ina was pretty cool and I like that she is quick and keeps you relaxed the whole time. Thanks Boris for your humor!

Look no further for the best wax in Miami – When I moved to Miami from Chicago, I had to find a new waxer. I didn't have any close girlfriends here who waxed, so I looked on Citysearch and saw that Wax Spa had a perfect 10/10 with 5 stars and have been voted the Best in Miami for 2 years running. I promptly introduced myself to them and Boris made every effort to work around my nutty schedule to book my appointment. I was in no way disappointed by my experience. I'd been visiting high-end skin care salons and spas in Chicago for my waxing needs (and was very happy with the results), but Ina promptly blew away every prior experience I'd ever had. She's friendly and professional, she makes you completely comfortable, she AMAZINGLY quick (my first appointment lasted 10 minutes!), and the wax itself is perfect. I'll never go anywhere else.

I was a bit nervous about getting a complete Brazilian wax but Ina instantly put all of my nerves at ease. I felt completely comfortable in her expert hands. She effortlessly waxed me COMPLETELY and PAINLESSLY in less than 15 minutes. Before I met Ina I was traumatized by a visit to a salon that offered Free waxing for first time clients. Went there for my underarms and Brazilian. The ordeal lasted 50+ minutes and was the single most painful experience of my entire life. This "specialist" kept going over the same area over and over again and eventually ripped some of my skin off!!! Not only was the waxing painful and long but it was not a complete Brazilian. Lesson learned…Nothing good could be Free and especially if it’s advertised on the bus bench. Ina literally changed my life!! She is The Queen of Waxing in Miami!!! Nikki A.

I went to Wax Spa for the very first time two weeks ago (also my first time getting a Brazilian). I was a little nervous at first since I did not know what to expect and also because I was going by myself. As soon as I walked into Wax Spa I felt welcomed. Everyone was extremely nice. Every room was very clean, relaxing and smelled delicious. My experience at Wax Spa was beyond what I imagined. Ina was great and I would definitely recommend her to everyone. I am now thinking of at least once a month going to Wax Spa for my waxing and facials. I love that it is not a "chain" waxing center, that it is a great local business, and that it has a lot of character. Really, it's a great sanctuary.

Have been going to Ina @ Wax Spa for a few years for bikini waxing and have had facials and my eyebrows done here too. (I love the look of nicely arched waxed brows, but was endowed with only straight little ones, which don't need much taming.) Ina has a great "bedside" manor - she manages to be efficient and relaxed at the same time, which can be a big problem in this type of business... (too often its either/or). I'm in and out, usually not bumping into another client (they seem to space them well), having had a nice warm chat and feeling a lot more fierce ...aka smooth.

good but not the "best" – i went to the wax spa for the first time, and though I had a good experience with the wax specialist, i wouldn't go as far to say that it was the best one. i have gotten far better brazilian waxes in other Miami salons, and it has not even been a month and my wax is growing back painfully (which normally doesn't happen). if you don't live near the area, it really isn't worth the trip.
